Work was suspended temporarily in the immediate aftermath of the Iowa Derecho on August 10. Work is resuming as crews move forward on project completion.

Work is progressing near the railroad tracks on 29th Street between I-380 and Center Point Road. Crews have completed installation of a storm sewer pipe under the tracks, and will move forward with pavement replacement this week. This work is anticipated to be complete in 1-2 weeks, and 29th Street will then be fully open.
Next Phase
29th Street is tentatively scheduled to be opened east and west of Center Point Road sometime the end of August or early September. The intersection of Center Point Road and 29th Street will then be closed for the last phase of the project, reconstructing the intersection. This closure is anticipated to take approximately 2-3 months to complete. We will send an additional update on access and detours when we have a firm closure date.
We will continue to send you updates as the project moves along. We appreciate your patience! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
