Weather permitting, railroad flaggers will be on site Monday, July 27, which will allow for completion of the work on 29th Street between I-380 and Center Point Road. This work includes pavement replacement adjacent to the railroad tracks, installation of storm sewer, and completion of the center median with concrete pavers. This work will take approximately 3 weeks.
Also beginning Monday, July 27 (weather pending), crews will begin placing the driveways on 29th Street between Center Point Road and Russell Drive, the final work before this section reopens.
In approximately 3 weeks, 29th Street will completely re-open east and west of Center Point Road, and the intersection of Center Point Road and 29th Street will be closed for the last phase of the project, reconstructing the intersection. The intersection will be completely closed for approximately 5-6 weeks. We will continue to send you updates on access and detours as we get closer to that phase.
