We wanted to give you an update on the bridge replacement.

Installation of the new sanitary sewer and water main on 34th Street, south of Cottage Grove Avenue, is wrapping up this week. Crews have also been relocating overhead utilities to prepare for the construction of the new culvert. Utility relocation should wrap up early next week, along with removal of the old bridge and preparing the Spoon Creek bed for the new culvert.

You may begin to see the delivery and installation of new sections of culvert starting approximately July 22. There are 20 new sections going in, each 6-feet long, and weighing 17 tons. Crews will use a crane during their installation.

As always, if you have questions about the project, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our project team.
