Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin on Monday, March 18 for the Johnson Avenue project. You may see crews begin to mobilize equipment in the next few days.

We wanted to take a moment and preview the major improvements happening this year.

Where work is taking place: We'll finish two segments this year:

1) Between Shelley Lane and Wesley Drive

2) Between 1st Avenue and Jacolyn Drive.

Traffic impacts to anticipate first: The contractor will start between Shelley Lane and Wesley Drive first, which will include a road closure to thru-traffic (only property owners will be allowed on the site).

Sometime in April, work will begin on the 1st Avenue / Johnson intersection, which will fully close for reconstruction.

Later in the summer, when school is out of session, crews will construct the roundabout at Johnson Ave / Jacolyn Drive.
