Pet of the Month:
Meet Barbie!
Barbie is a handsome, 13-year-old, black and white longhair gentleman. He is very sweet, calm, and has a lot of love to give. He may be a bit shy at first, but once comfortable he will love your pats. Barbie gets along well with other cats but we are unsure how he feels about dogs.

Barbie's adoption fee has been sponsored by the "Iannazzo Cat Family".
Interested in Barbie? Fill out an application today and call the Cat Adoption Center at 530-343-7917 x164.
June is "Adopt a Cat" month!
By Emily Acevedo
With routine care and proper preventives, cats can live long and healthy lives. Annual exams, vaccines, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, and dental care (just to name a few) are all available at our clinic and can make a huge impact on your cat's health. Our services are high-quality, low-cost, and available to everyone in our community.

Recently adopted a new kitten? Get them off to the best start by taking advantage of one of our kitten packages! These are designed to get your new playful pal on the path to health from the very beginning, which can help avoid costly medical issues as they age. We offer packages for every stage of your cat's life to get you all of the age-appropriate care they need at a price that will fit your budget.

Butte Humane Society offers benefits specific to our adopters to help keep your adopted cat as healthy as possible: 1 complimentary exam within 6 months of adoption, 10% off vaccines for LIFE, and 1 month free with the purchase of 5 months of Heartgard®
Foster a Senior Dog
We are in search of loving foster homes to take in our senior dogs while we work to find their forever homes.

It's no secret that senior dogs wait a little longer to be adopted; but did you know that senior dogs also experience a higher level of stress and anxiety from the shelter environment compared to their younger kennel mates?

If you have ever considered fostering, now is a great time to start!
Volunteer Spotlight: Marty
Marty began volunteering with Butte Humane Society in February of 2011. Since that time she has become a staple volunteer at Cat Adoptions and in our Warehouse. Marty has also been a great help during our special events. There is not a single volunteer area at BHS that she has not influenced in some way.
