Happy Memorial Day!

We hope everyone enjoyed a fun, family-filled Memorial Day Weekend!

The school year is entering the home stretch! Field Day, Fourth Grade Celebration, and the Adult Social mark the last of the PTC events. If you have not been able to volunteer or attend something this year, please consider helping out at Field Day or join your friends at the Adult Social! (Fourth Grade Celebration is for Fourth Grade Families only.) Every event is special but these last few are packed with fun and always end the year on a positive note.

Hope to see you!

Best,
Anne & Carrie

ADMINISTRATION NOTES

Retirement News
One of our most valued staff members, Mrs. Trish Chase, will be retiring at the end of this year. Mrs. Chase has been an outstanding special education teacher since 1977, and during her 31 years, she has positively affected the lives of many students. In addition, her colleagues and I have learned a great deal from this wonderful educator and person who is a model of professionalism and dedication. Mrs. Chase's impact upon the students and staff at South School has been profound, and we thank her and wish her well in the years to come. We will miss her!

Withdrawals from NCPS
To plan for next year, it would be very helpful to know if your child(ren) will be withdrawing from NCPS for the 2019 - 2020 school year, and to know of any fourth graders who will not be attending fifth grade at Saxe. Please contact us at at  [email protected] or  [email protected] as soon as possible. A withdrawal form must also be completed and can be found on the district website  here .
