Important Volunteer Reminders!

We are so grateful for each of our dedicated PTO volunteers. All of you are the heart and soul of our organization. In the spirit of cooperation, we would like to remind all parents that when you are in the school building, it is important to respect our children’s and teachers' space. It is disruptive to the learning environment when parents peek into classrooms or pop in unannounced.

If you would like to pick up your child at the end of your volunteer time slot, you must coordinate with Mrs. Guzewicz in the main office.

KRS Trivia Night - Some Important Info!

• We are hoping you and your family can join us for KRS Trivia Night on Friday, February 10th from 7-7:45 pm!

• The event is virtual- each team can participate from the comfort of their own home!
• The game will be run through a game-show platform called GimKit, which is sometimes used in the classroom. For additional information on GimKit, please watch this video
• A link to the game will be sent out via the PAW on the 10th before the start of the game.
• The top three teams will be announced immediately after the trivia ends and will receive exciting prizes!
• We will distribute the pizza kits on Thursday, February 9th from 2:30-3:45 pm in the KRS parking lot.

Troy Cummings Author Visit

Troy Cummings is coming to KRS on February 28th! Many thanks to the elementary school principals, the MEF and the PTO for funding this special opportunity. The KRS PTO and Ms. Thomas would like to offer our families the opportunity to pre-purchase a book to be signed by the one and only TROY CUMMINGS, himself, at his visit.

The books will be distributed on the day of the event. Troy will only have enough time to sign 1 book per child who ordered, however, you are welcome to order more books. We are happy to be working with The Bookworm in Bernardsville to bring these special books to KRS.

Valentine's Day Class Parties

Classroom teachers will be reaching out to each class individually regarding Valentine’s Day. Teachers will provide you with a class list of names and expectations for cards.

Sending out our gratitude to muralist Caren Olmsted, her assistant Jamie Conroy, and ALL of the parent (and grandparent) volunteers who showed up over the past few weeks to work on the mural that will grace the front wall of KRS for many years to come!

Dana and Natalie hope to visit Caren in her studio soon and will share progress updates with you all. The mural is scheduled to be installed this Spring!

Did you know that our KRS school principal, Dr. Koop, sends out a newsletter every week? It's a great source of in-school information and reminders, as well as a snapshot of what happened during the week for our kids. Check it out below!
