From the Principal's Desk

Dear Parents,

Thank you for all you do for the school! The staff and I appreciate all your support.

We had a great turn out for Steps for Students. We got second place for registrations in the Archdiocese. Special thanks to the Steps Chairs, Rachel Brady and Kari Vanek, for all of their hard work motivating students, parents, and staff to participate.

We had a great third through fifth grade science fair today! Thank you to the students and teachers for all their hard work! The projects were very interesting and very well done! Thank you to all of our volunteer judges for their assistance. The winners are shown below.

It is hard to believe that this coming week is the last week of February. Spring break is just around the corner.

Our next AALC lesson will be our Art Car Day on Thursday, March 28th for the entire school. We are working on having art cars come to the school for the students to view and then in the afternoon they will make their own art cars in their classrooms. For this event we are in need of donated art supplies. We will have a box in the foyer starting on Monday! Please bring to school any items you have on the list below:
  • Feathers
  • Sequins
  • Construction paper
  • Bottle caps
  • Buttons
  • Empty paper towel rolls
  • Empty toilet paper rolls
  • Googly eyes
  • Wood prop sticks or popsicle sticks

Call for Candidates

If you feel a strong personal commitment to the mission of
St. Michael Catholic School, please think about sharing your talents with us by applying to be part of our School Commission. Three new members will be appointed to replace three who are retiring.

Selection of School Commission members is based on a two-step process. Candidates are first requested to complete an application ( click here). Following review of the applications, the School Commission will select candidates to participate in a discernment interview. 

The application deadline is Friday, March 1. 2019
