Careers Worth Considering Upper School Career Day planned for Jan. 4, 2019
Are you passionate about your career or do you know someone who is? We are currently scheduling speakers for our upcoming career day. If you are interested, and with appropriate notice could be available on Friday, Jan 4th from 12:00pm - 3:15pm for the presentations, please email Suzy Banks at sbanks@StLukesMobile.com. Include your name, employer, career/occupation you would like to discuss and a phone number for us to contact you.

There are a limited number of spots available, and each speaker will be asked to give the same presentation 2-3 times so that we can keep the class sizes small. We would like a variety of careers covered, so please respond by Tuesday, Dec 4th to allow us time to schedule all of our 9th - 12th graders. This opportunity is not limited to St. Luke's parents, so please help us by spreading the word.

BIOMEDICAL HEALTH SCIENCE TRAUMA WEEK DETAILS
Our students are given some amazing and priceless experiences to enhance learning. Our Biomed students are presented with a trauma scenario that is as close to life-like as can be. We have completed 2 days of the scenario: The actual event/EMS day, ER, OR, ICU, and PT. Today, the patient is headed to the OR. Stay tuned to follow the patient's progress daily on Facebook!
BIOMEDICAL HEALTH SCIENCE TRAUMA WEEK DAY 1
On day 1 the "patient" was hit by a distracted driver and EMS was on hand to show the students how they would treat the patient. Dr. Charles Erwin from USA Department of Emergency Medicine was here along with law enforcement, fire rescue and ambulance.
BIOMEDICAL HEALTH SCIENCE TRAUMA WEEK DAY 2
On day 2 the "patient" was treated in the ER by Dr. Upshaw, David Keesee, and Springhill College senior nursing students. They assessed the patient and treated her accordingly and taught students the necessary steps to follow. Dr. Upshaw and David Keesee also discussed ALL things ER!

In each paw prints, we will include a few of the items on our list and we will update each publication. If you have the means or skills to help fulfill a wish, please contact Diane McCleery before purchasing to ensure that the wish has not been fulfilled.
