CELEBRATING OUR SENIORS: CLASS OF 2025

After years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance, they have almost made it to the finish line! We are so proud of everything they have accomplished and can’t wait to see what they will achieve in the future. Get to know our exceptional seniors through the Senior Spotlights each week in Paw Prints!

THE RED BIRD AND THE MELON BY DR. STEVE BREWINGTON,

ST. LUKE'S ALUM

Dr. Steve Brewington graciously gifted the Japonica Campus with a copy of his book, The Red Bird & the Melon. Accompanying the book was a heartfelt note in which Dr. Brewington fondly recalled his days at

St. Luke’s from 1962-1969 before moving to Huntsville and Knoxville, TN. He says, "I fondly remember the then-small St. Luke's. You gave me the freedom to learn and grow at my own pace, an open spiritual education, and compassion in a sweet, understanding environment. As another East Tennessean, Dolly Parton's new song goes, "I wouldn't be here if you hadn't been there," and I truly believe it. May God continue to bless St. Luke's Episcopal School!"

A little about Dr. Brewington: He has lived in Knoxville, Tennessee, for 50 years and is a retired dentist practicing for 33 years.

BIOMED STUDENTS EXPLORE ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGY

Brandi Harnish, a sonographer from the University of South Alabama Free Standing ER, recently visited our Biomed Fundamentals II classes to share her expertise in ultrasound technology. During her visit, she provided an insightful demonstration of how to effectively operate our very own ultrasound machine in our Biomed Lab. Students had the invaluable opportunity to apply their learning hands-on by allowing them to practice using the machine under her guidance.

WILDCAT BAND PERFORMS AT THE HISTORY MUSEUM OF MOBILE

Recently, members of the Wildcat Band were honored with an invitation to perform at the History Museum of Mobile, where they performed music from the colonial era. This special event marked the 200th anniversary of Marquis de Lafayette's historic visit to Mobile, the final stop in his tour of Alabama. Lafayette's visit to Mobile is part of a series of commemorative events that aim to retrace his footsteps throughout America, following the exact dates and order of his original tour between 1824 and 1825.

DYLAN DRISKELL PERFORMS IN THE ALLSTATE CHOIR

Dylan Driskell had the prestigious opportunity to perform alongside other gifted students from across the state in the Allstate Choir. We are incredibly proud of Dylan for being acknowledged as one of Alabama's exceptional musical talents and participating in such a distinguished musical event.

CELEBRATING HALLIE'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN THE T.A.L.L. SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

We are thrilled to congratulate Hallie on graduating from the T.A.L.L. Scholarship Program! The SouthWest Mobile County Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to nurturing leadership skills in today's youth, and Hallie is a shining example of this commitment.

During her eight-month journey, Hallie had numerous opportunities to grow and learn. She actively volunteered within the community, explored local businesses and organizations, gained insights from financial experts, and engaged with elected officials. These experiences equipped her with invaluable skills and knowledge that will serve her well in all her future endeavors. We couldn't be prouder of Hallie's achievements and the bright path she is forging ahead.

TWO WILDCATS SIGN TO PLAY COLLEGIATE SOCCER

We are thrilled to announce that Jameson Bryant and Madisen Gabel are taking their soccer talents to the collegiate level. Jameson will join the Pensacola Christian College Eagles, while Madisen will join the Catawba College Indians. Congratulations to both of you on this remarkable achievement! We look forward to seeing you both excel on the field. Go Eagles, Go Indians, and, of course, Go Wildcats!

ST. LUKE'S SENIOR NIGHT 2025

St. Luke's Varsity Soccer Senior Night was a memorable event. It successfully continued the cherished tradition of inviting other seniors who don't participate in the sport to play during the game. Additionally, the ceremony included the heartfelt tradition of seniors attempting to score a goal against a family member. We will certainly miss this group and hope their time as Wildcats has meant as much to them as it has to us!

Check out the athletic schedules in the calendar section below to support our Wildcats!
