CELEBRATING THANKSGIVING AS A SCHOOL FAMILY

There's nothing like the warmth of community and the joy of togetherness! Our Japonica Campus was filled with gratitude and delicious food as students and their families came together for a memorable Thanksgiving feast.

ST. LUKE'S THANKSGIVING PARADE

Our 4th and 5th graders worked on a unit inspired by the book Balloons Over Broadway. Balloons Over Broadway is a children's picture book that tells the true story of Tony Sarg, a puppeteer credited with inventing the giant helium balloons featured in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The students designed and created their own balloons, and we had our very own St. Luke’s Thanksgiving Parade. We thoroughly enjoyed their handmade balloons and appreciated their hard work

and unique designs.

ST. LUKE'S PHYSICS CLASSES ENJOY AN "EGG-CELLENT" ADVENTURE WITH CATAPULTS

Mrs. Haynes’ physics classes explored the principles of projectile motion and the mechanics of how catapults are used to launch projectiles. The students were then challenged to build a catapult to launch "eggs" at teachers. Our teachers are the best and will really do "ANYTHING" to support learning!

JAPONICA STUDENTS EXPLORE MIXTURES AND SOLUTIONS

Japonica Science Lab fun! Why can the green sand be separated, but the sugar can’t? When we mix the green sand and water, it’s a mixture (the grains stay intact and can be separated easily.) When sugar dissolves in water, it forms a solution (merges to create something new and inseparable!)

FESTIVE STEM+M ADVENTURES AT ST. LUKE'S

Bringing the holiday spirit to the STEM+M Lab! Our K5 littles and 8th grade bigs teamed up on the University Campus for a festive morning of Christmas-themed STEM+M activities. These young scientists and mentors had a blast learning and creating together. The joy of discovery and the magic of the season made for the BEST memories!

ST. LUKE'S ATHLETES NAMED TO MOBILE ALL-COUNTY TEAMS

Sophie Dolbear was recently named to the 2024 All-County Cross Country Team.

Baker Garside, Amelia Smith, Hannah Baker, and Cami Abel were named to the 2024 All-County Volleyball Team. These athletes will attend the award ceremony on May 18 at 5:00 p.m. to celebrate their achievements. Go, Wildcats!

DON'T BE ALARMED: TRAUMA WEEK STARTS - DECEMBER 9

Monday, December 9th is the first day of Trauma Week. Be prepared for an exciting start with EMS Day! Upon arrival at the University Campus, you might notice emergency vehicles positioned in the parking lots. Following homeroom, expect to hear sirens and see flashing lights as Mobile Fire Rescue collaborates with our students for an immersive learning experience.
