ST. LUKE'S CENTER STAGE SHINES IN

St. Luke's Center Stage recently captivated audiences with its performances of "Legally Blonde Jr. the Musical," which graced the stage not once but three times over the past weekend. The production was met with rave reviews, leaving attendees in awe of our students' incredible talent.
The performers brought energy and enthusiasm to each performance, showcasing their acting, singing, and dancing skills. SECOND GRADE'S PUBLISHED DREAMS
St. Luke's second graders have become published authors! Each year, Mrs. Champagne and Mrs. Miniard’s classes create a book detailing their aspirations for the future, sharing what they hope to become when they grow up. Once the books are complete, a special gathering is held where students exchange signatures, look through the books together, and enjoy a special treat.

EARTH: PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE - EXPLORING EARTH'S NATURAL FEATURES
In exploring Earth’s past, present, and future, fourth-grade students had an interesting lesson to understand the planet's natural features. They learned of various landforms and bodies of water, providing them with a foundational understanding of Earth's physical geography. Students applied this knowledge by identifying natural features on physical maps.
A significant part of the lesson focused on the origins and formation of landforms, mainly through the lens of tectonic plates and plate boundaries. Students explored the dynamic nature of Earth's crust and how the movement of tectonic plates shapes the planet's surface over time. This included a detailed study of different types of plate boundaries—convergent, divergent, and transform.
To bring these concepts to life, students engaged in interactive activities using play dough to model the movement of tectonic plates. By simulating the interactions at plate boundaries, they gained a tangible understanding of the processes that led to the creation of mountains, earthquakes, and volcanic activity.
