ST. LUKE'S CELEBRATES BACK TO SCHOOL IN A BIG WAY!
There’s nothing quite like the excitement of a new school year, and St. Luke’s celebrated Back to School in a BIG way! We kicked off the year by welcoming our newest team members during New Faculty & Staff Orientation, followed by Wildcat Welcome on the University Campus and Meet & Greet on the Japonica Campus. These special events gave our students, families, faculty, and staff an opportunity to reconnect, meet new faces, and get ready for another great year at St. Luke’s.
The excitement continued on the first day of school with two of our favorite St. Luke’s traditions - the 6th Grade Welcome Walk, where our newest University Campus Wildcats were cheered on as they began this exciting chapter, and the Opening of the Gates for our 9th graders, marking their official transition into high school.
From our youngest Wildcats to our newest high school students, it was a wonderful beginning to a new year filled with excitement, tradition, and Wildcat pride.
We’re ready for a great year, Wildcats!

REMEMBERING DANIEL NEWMAN - AUGUST 22
The Newman family invites all who knew and loved Daniel to come together as we remember his beautiful life, share treasured memories, and celebrate the incredible young man he was.

The Newman family is incredibly grateful for the overwhelming love, prayers, and support that have surrounded them during this very difficult time.
As they prepare for Daniel’s service, our St. Luke’s community has another opportunity to surround the Newman family with love and support by helping provide food for the day. STARTING THE SCHOOL YEAR WITH PRAYER & PURPOSE
Before the school year began, St. Luke’s faculty and staff gathered together for our annual Back-to-School Chapel - a special tradition that allows us to begin the year united in faith and purpose.
Together, we prayed for the school year ahead, for our students and families, and for the faculty and staff who will teach, guide, encourage, and care for our Wildcats each day.
There is no better way to begin a new school year than together - grounded in faith, grateful for our
St. Luke’s community, and excited for all that lies ahead.

ST. LUKE'S IS EMBRACING INNOVATION IN EDUCATION
Before school began, our faculty and staff were already learning, growing, and preparing for the year ahead! St. Luke’s faculty and staff had the opportunity to learn from professor, author, and educator
John Spencer during his workshop, “How Will We Respond to the AI Revolution?”
As artificial intelligence continues to reshape education and the world our students will enter, the workshop challenged our educators to think intentionally about how we can embrace innovation while prioritizing creativity, critical thinking, curiosity, and meaningful learning.
At St. Luke's, preparing students for the future means our educators are always learning, too!

A SWEET SURPRISE FROM THE CLASS OF 2033
Our University Campus faculty received the sweetest surprise thanks to the wonderful parents of the
Class of 2033!
Our teachers were treated to an incredible assortment of snacks and treats - a thoughtful gesture that left them truly touched and in awe of the kindness shown by our families.
The beginning of a school year is filled with long days, busy schedules, and lots of preparation, and these special treats were such a wonderful reminder of the supportive community that
surrounds our faculty and staff.
To our Class of 2033 parents......THANK YOU! Your generosity, thoughtfulness, and encouragement meant more than you know. We are so grateful for the many ways our Wildcat families take

Congratulations to Lauren Watson, Millie Wilson, Emma Kate Frazier, and Riley Reynolds on being named to the Alabama High School Volleyball Coaches Association (AHSVCA) 2026-27 Preseason Watchlist!
This recognition highlights some of the top volleyball talent from across the state, and we are incredibly proud to see FOUR Wildcats earn a spot on the list!
