ST. LUKE'S VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION

The Veterans Day celebration at St. Luke’s was truly exceptional! The University Campus kicked off the day with a heartwarming breakfast for our veterans and their guests. This was followed by a special program featuring a special guest speaker, Michael Holland. We enjoyed performances by our theater department and wonderful music by the band. Attendees also had the opportunity to admire the inspiring artwork created by our talented students.

On the Japonica Campus, our 5th graders delivered a great performance of Veterans Day songs. The program featured guest speaker D’Wayne Dean and concluded with a lovely reception for veterans and their guests, who were also treated to a display of student artwork.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Matt Farnell for creating the touching video tribute, adding a special

touch to this memorable day.

8th GRADERS EXPLORE POTENTIAL AND KINETIC ENERGY

Mrs. Perez's 8th-grade physical science students turned into budding scientists as they explored the exciting world of potential and kinetic energy! With action figures in hand, they designed their experiments to make their characters jump higher. By changing the ball's mass or the drop height, students investigated how these factors impact potential energy. After collecting and analyzing data, they showcased their findings with claims, evidence, and reasoning on presentation boards. Seeing them present their arguments in a lively mini-conference atmosphere was incredible!

HANDS-ON VETERINARY EXPERIENCE WITH DR. MARY EDMONDS

Veterinarian Dr. Mary Edmonds delivered an insightful presentation on veterinary medicine during the Biomedical Sciences after-school enrichment class. Students had the opportunity to engage hands-on by performing surgical procedures while wearing real medical gear and using real medical equipment.
