Farewell to Summer
The colors and flavors of the market are changing fast as fall weather has made its way to the Valley. Last week we said goodbye to Twin Maple Farms as their corn crop is finished for the season. While you'll still find plenty of tomatoes, peaches are quickly being replaced by pears and pumpkins. Autumn is on our doorstep my friends! Join us for a beautiful end of summer Saturday, with live music from one of our favorite bands - The Beautiful Distortion and lots of amazing food. It's also Family Weekend at Lafayette College so we're looking forward to seeing lots of pards perusing the market. (We love living in a college town)! Be sure to check out our guest vendors including the goats at the Bubbly Goat!

Holy Cow Flower Farm
There are some signs that this long, hot, dry summer may soon be coming to an end. Holy Cow Flower Farm finally got some much-needed rain, and there have a few cool nights. That means that the heat-loving summer blooms like zinnias and celosia will soon be on their way out. Rudbeckia triloba (pictured here) will also be coming to an end soon. It will be featured in this week's bouquets alongside a wonderful mix of foliage and focal blooms. Be sure to stop by this Saturday for one of your last chances to grab some of these little yellow bursts of happiness. And, if you are a Lafayette parent visiting the college for family weekend Bryan and Jenn are both Lafayette alums and look forward to seeing you all!
Primordia Farms
Psst... pawpaws here! Yep, it's pawpaw season in PA. Not familiar with America's largest edible fruit tree and this foraged, tropical tasting fruit? Learn more at Serious Eats. Or better yet, stop by Primordia and see and taste for yourself. But come early, they won't last long!
Funny Farms Apiaries
Elderberry Syrup!
Give your immune system a little boost. Stop by and grab your elderberry syrup. Did you know you can freeze it? You can! Elderberries have so many benefits. Not only are they nutritious, but they may also fight cold and flu symptoms, support heart health and fight inflammation and infections, among other benefits. The berries and flowers of the Elderberry are packed with antioxidants and vitamins that may boost your immune system.
Pie + Tart
Who’s ready for another glorious day down by the river! Pie + Tart will bring their luscious Arizona Lemon Tarts, French Coconut Pies, Small Fruit Galettes, Chicken and Leek Dinner Pies, 7” Potato, Spinach, and Ricotta Pies, and lots of these Flourless Chocolate Tarts! See you there….

This week's menu includes: Thai Peanut Chicken, Israeli Chopped (Vegan), Smoked Gouda Chicken, Quinoa Apple (Vegan), Chicken Soba Noodle, Roasted Beets w/Chevre, and Turkey Maple Pecan Chicken. It's available in Cherry Almond or Traditional (raisin walnut) and they are both delicious! Speaking of delicious... Lavender Oat Milk Chai and Vanilla Almond Milk Chai are pretty amazing too.

Organ meats are more nutrient-dense than muscle meat. They are rich in B vitamins, specifically B12 and folate. They are also rich in minerals, including iron, magnesium, selenium, and zinc, as well as fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, E, and K. By dehydrating low and slow and carefully monitoring the moisture content, we are able to capture all of the nutrients and flavor.
Teels Hill Soapworks
Teels Hill's Licorice Hand and Body Soap is a blend of anise seed and sweet fennel essential oils. Did you know that fennel was used by the ancient Egyptians as a food and a medicine, and was considered to be a snake bite remedy in ancient China. During the Middle Ages it was hung over doorways to drive away evil spirits. So with the Halloween season around the corner you just might want to get a bar or two for your home. Susan's other soap with fennel essential oil is Vitamin Seaweed - also a lovely bar for nourishing your skin.
