Spring Break 2025!

Over Spring Break, Mr. Venegas led a group of 9 RB students on a language immersion and service learning tour of Peru! The group explored traditional weaving, tile, and chocolate-making processes, participated in a cooking class, and visited Machu Picchu. They also spent time at an elementary school, leading language lessons with Peruvian children and helping with gardening and painting on their campus. This trip was an unforgettable experience for our students that deepened their appreciation of Peruvian culture and the impact of service.

Over spring break, the RBHS Music Department embarked on a trip to New York City, where students had the opportunity to perform in iconic venues and tour the city’s many sights! On Day 1, students explored different parts of the city, including Grand Central Station and Times Square. Day 2 included a walking tour of Harlem, a performance by the Harlem Gospel Choir, and band and orchestra performances at the historic Intrepid Museum. The day ended with the Broadway Musical Hadestown, where some students had the chance to meet the cast. On Day 3, the group took a guided tour of Manhattan, participated in a private Q&A with a Hadestown performer, and attended the Broadway Musical The Outsiders. The trip concluded with a special choir performance at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, followed by a final walk through Central Park and Times Square. Thank you to Mr. Baum, Mr. Loeb, Ms. Smetana, and the Music and Theatre Sponsors for making this trip possible for our students!

Riverside Brookfield High School is proud to partner with the Glenbard Parent Series (GPS) to provide our families with access to informative sessions and valuable resources that support their children’s growth and development. These FREE presentations feature world-renowned authors, clinicians, and speakers and are open to all families.

The majority of the programs are offered virtually with no registration required. We encourage community members to attend the following GPS webinars over the next month. Links and details for each event are available on the GPS website.
