Aryan Hernandez Earns Congressional Award
Congratulations to junior Aryan Hernandez on earning the Congressional Award Silver Medal from the United States Congress! Established to law in 1979, the Congressional Award was created to honor, encourage, and inspire America’s youth. To earn the Silver Medal, participants must complete at least 200 hours of Voluntary Public Service, 100 hours of Personal Development, and 100 hours of Physical Fitness. Additionally, they must spend at least 3 days and 2 nights exploring a new environment or culture. Aryan has been consistently working to achieve this award for over 12 months, the minimum time frame to earn the Silver Medal.

Board of Education Appointments – April 2025
On April 29, 2025, three Board members were appointed to the Riverside Brookfield High School District 208 Board of Education for four-year terms. These Board members are Mr. Nicholas Caputo, Mrs. Lorena Gasca, and Mr. Patrick Williams. We thank Mr. Caputo, Mrs. Gasca, and Mr. Williams for their commitment to our school community, and look forward to their leadership and contributions in supporting the continued success of Riverside Brookfield High School District 208.
Additionally, we would like to recognize our outgoing Board members, Mrs. Carolyn Lach and Mr. Ryan VenHorst, for their time and dedication to Riverside Brookfield High School District 208. Their guidance and efforts have made a lasting impact, and we sincerely appreciate their years of service and advocacy on behalf of our students, staff, and RB community.

Multicultural Fair 2025
Multicultural Fair 2025 was a huge success! We hope everyone enjoyed sampling the variety of foods, listening to RB’s Mariachi Band, exploring different cultures, and watching the dance performances. A special thank you to Natya Dance Theatre, Dance on Grand, and our Brazilian dancers for sharing your cultures so beautifully through dance.
Shoutout to our amazing student clubs, the Asian Student Association, Mariachi Band, Organization of Latin American Students, and Minority Empowerment Club, for your hard work and support in making this event possible, and to the Honors Culinary students for their delicious Chicken Tinga Dip!
We’re already looking forward to next year!
