Australia

Korea

Pax Christi Korea wholeheartedly welcomes the Constitutional Court's historic decision to uphold the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol. As Catholic Christians committed to peace and justice, PCK renews our commitment to support democratic values and the common good in accordance with Catholic social teaching and the principles of nonviolent peace. Japan

Transferring sovereignty and becoming one with the US military - The Joint Operations Command, which centrally commands the actual forces of the Ground, Maritime and Air Self-Defense Forces, was established on March 24. One of its aims is to further deepen the integration of the military forces of Japan and the US in terms of command and control. In effect, there is a serious risk that the Self-Defense Forces will be placed under the command of the US military and mobilized for US wars. Read here.

Philippines

The Philippines recently commemorated the 1986 People Power EDSA Revolution. At Miriam College, we advocate for truth, justice, and peaceful conflict resolution. Pax Christi Pilipinas encourages the youth to raise their voices and elect leaders who exemplify these principles in the national elections scheduled for May 2025. Watch the video here.
