Paycheck Protection Applications
Open April 3
Please share with appropriate leaders in your congregation. Thank you.
The Small Business Administration reports that applications for Paycheck Protection Loans/Grants will open Friday, April 3. Our information is that funds are first-come, first-served. 501(c)(3) organizations, such as churches, with fewer than 500 employees should be eligible.

From the SBA website: "The Paycheck Protection Program is a loan designed to provide a direct incentive for small businesses to keep their workers on the payroll. SBA will forgive loans if all employees are kept on the payroll for eight weeks and the money is used for payroll, rent, mortgage interest, or utilities. The Paycheck Protection Program will be available through June 30, 2020."

Lutheran Services in America President and CEO Charlotte Haberaecker will be leading a timely webinar in partnership with the Network of Jewish Human Services Agencies exploring how nonprofits with fewer than 500 employees can access $350 billion in Small Business Administration (SBA) funds made available under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Also featured during the webinar will be Steven Woolf, Senior Tax Policy Counsel at the Jewish Federations of America.

The webinar will take place this Friday, April 3 at 12:00 pm EDT.
