One Family's Journey
Since 2015, Randi's family has moved from CHI emergency housing to CHI transitional housing and finally, in January, into CHI permanent housing. CHI case managers have supported Randi's family every step of the way and continue to meet with them regularly to ensure they maintain self-sufficiency and remain in permanent housing. Read Randi's story here.

We are proud of the family's strength and resilience over the past few years. CHI will continue to be a resource to them along their journey.
Spreading Holiday Cheer
Girl Scouts of Suffolk County

For the second year in a row, CHI received decorated trees from the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County and delivered them to transitional and permanent housing clients. Each individual Girl Scout Troop decorates a tree with its own theme and includes donations such as toiletries, hats, gloves, ornaments and lights. CHI was fortunate to receive 15 decorated trees for various homes this holiday season. Thank you!
 Bella's Birthday Box

Bella's Birthday Box donated items for 12 birthdays to children living in CHI emergency housing in Westchester County. The items included cake mix, frosting, party horns, party hats, cups, goody bag items to share, and small toys and beautiful handmade birthday cards. Thank you Bella for your generosity!
Paying It Forward One Basket at a Time
Maureen Mantesta, her familiy and friends put together 34 baskets filled with all the fixings for a Thanksgiving meal, including, most importantly, the turkey. They donate them to clients living in CHI's Supportive Housing Program so families can make their own family dinner and create holiday memories that will last a lifetime.

100 Stuffed Stockings

Pay it Forward with Jackie Inc.  donated 100 stockings and children's toys, games, coloring books, crayons, play dough, cards and other items. CHI employee Kim Hill put filled all the stockings with the goodies. Thank you all so much! The kids are our shelters will be so happy come Christmas morning!
