UPCOMING HOLIDAY CLOSURE REMINDER
OUR ATTENDANCE POLICY IS IN EFFECT AS OF SEPTEMBER
*Please review Attendance Policy below:
Attendance is incredibly important to the overall success of the individual athlete as well as the team. To be an All-Star competitive cheerleader, it takes a lot of practice and training to properly and safely perform a winning routine. This sport fully embraces the TEAM concept and utilizes every athlete at least once. There is no “bench” or substitutes. Athletes must attend all practices and competitions as a TEAM.

At registration, you are making a commitment for the 2023-24 competitive season. Our season this year will begin in June and continues through our regular season of scheduled competitions. Please understand that even one team member missing from practice/competition adversely affects the entire team and excessive absences will not be tolerated.

CONNECT Cheer NW will strive to keep extra practices to a minimum, but this can only be accomplished with productive and mandatory practices. You can expect there to be some extra practices, especially as we get close to competitions, and all extra practices are mandatory. There are no additional fees due to extra practices.

Athletes are permitted 3 EXCUSED absences beginning September 1st through May 1st, or until conclusion of post season events if applicable.
All absences must be reported to the athlete’s coach prior to the start of practice in order to be excused.

ALL COMPETITIONS ARE MANDATORY.
Athletes may not miss team practices the two weeks prior to a competition. Athletes missing within this timeframe will be required to pay a fine of $75 for each day and may also be required to pay a $300 choreography fee should the routine need to be adjusted due to the athlete’s absence. In addition, the athlete may need to be removed from the routine altogether for that upcoming competition and placed on a reserve roster. This decision will be up to the coaches and owner’s discretion.

EXCUSED ABSENCES:
      Contagious illness
      Required quarantine
      Family emergency
Required school activity that results in a grade

Athletes are permitted 2 UNEXCUSED absences from September 1st through May 1st. Absences are NOT allowed two weeks prior to a competition. No exceptions. Should an athlete be absent during the two weeks leading up to a competition, that athlete will be placed on the reserve roster which will result in not taking the floor with their team at that upcoming competition. Unexcused absences beyond the allotted listed above, will result in a $100 fine charged automatically to the athlete’s family account for each day the athlete is absent and in addition, a choreography fee of $300. I also understand that excessive absences may result in my athletes choreographed spot being changed to ensure that the team is not impacted by my athlete’s absences.

UNEXCUSED ABSENCES:
      Non-contagious illness
      Transportation problems
      Extra-curricular activities
      Homework
      Birthdays, parties, school dances, etc.
      Family vacations
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

Q: How do I know if my DROP REQUEST for my athlete's class has been processed?
A: Placing a drop request in through your customer portal does not mean your request has been received. Our system does not automatically drop students from the roster. Our staff processes drop requests when an official email request has been sent by the parent directly to our inquiry@connectcheernw.com. If you do not send an email directly to that email address, then your request will not be processed. YOU WILL RECEIVE AN OFFICIAL DROP NOTIFICATION EMAIL FROM OUR SYSTEM IF YOUR REQUEST WAS RECEIVED AND PROCESSED. If you do not receive that automated email, please let us know.

*If you do not email INQUIRY@CONNECTCHEERNW.COM of your wish to drop your athlete's class 10 days prior to the next billing cycle, then you will still be required to pay the next installment. The 10 day policy allows us time to process the drop request and open the class back up for registration.

Q. How do I schedule a makeup for a missed class?
A. You will place a makeup request through the parent portal system located on our website. Please note that makeup classes are not guaranteed due to class size. If you do not receive an automated email notifying you that your makeup was approved, then it means that there may not be availability on your requested day.

Q. Is there an annual membership fee for classes, camps, clinics, open gyms and/or birthday parties?
A. Yes, these programs are open to the public and are separate from our All Star and Prep team programs. This fee is billed annually on your calendar anniversary when attending any of the above programs.

Q. If my athlete cannot attend their team practice, do I need to alert anyone?
A. Yes, attendance is mandatory at this point in the season. Should your athlete need to miss their team practice, please alert your athlete's team coaches immediately via text, or email. Do not report athlete absences through your team GroupMe.

*Please make sure that you have read through our attendance policy carefully, as there are fees that are charged to athletes who miss more than what is allowed.

*PLEASE DO NOT SEND ATHLETE ABSENCE INFORMATION TO OUR GENERAL GYM EMAIL ACCOUNTS.

Thank you!
