SCHOOL SPOTLIGHT: The PVMHS Student Health Center Now in its 11th year, the PVMHS Student Health Center is a fully functioning health center located inside Peabody High School, open to any student who attends the high school. School-based health centers provide care for students where they are, providing easy access, and keeping them healthy so they can perform well in school.
The Student Health Center is located in room B110 (first floor, outside the cafeteria and close to the medical assisting classrooms), and is open from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm all days that school is in session. Services offered to students include immunizations, physicals, sports physicals, sick visits, confidential services, nutritional counseling, substance use/abuse counseling, and behavioral health therapy. All visits are of no charge to students; they will bill insurance if possible, but there are no co-pays. Students will be seen and cared for regardless of insurance status. Check out the Student Health Center website for more information, and reach out to your student’s Dean or Counselor with any questions about accessing the services provided by the Health Center. (Thank you to PVMHS Principal Randall for allowing Peabody PROMISE to copy this information from her awesome weekly update.)
