Peace Summer Fun
Caribbean Night! 
Saturday, July 17
6:30-8:30 pm





Join us for some summer fun at our Peace Caribbean Night on Saturday, July 17 from
6:30 to 8:30 pm! Brad, Mary, Carter Stirtz and Friends will share some steel pan music for us to enjoy. We will also have frozen fruit drinks and plenty of snacks. Bring your lawn chairs or blanket to sit on. Come early to pick your spot on the lawn. There will be lawn games such as Bags and Bocce Ball, too. This is a free event. Feel free to invite your friends!
It's going to be a great evening of music, fun, and fellowship - we hope to see you there!

Summer Joybreak 9:30 AM Wednesdays
All women are invited to join us each Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:45 am for a time of fellowship and diving into God's Word. This summer study is offered in person only. 
We meet in the Great Room.
Our 5-week study is a DVD-based study called "Jesus and Women" by Kristi McLelland.
We will examine the historical and cultural climate of first-century Middle Eastern society to not only understand Jesus more deeply, but to fuel our worship of Him today. This study is great for a busy summer schedule. Drop-in when you can. No study book needed, just bring your Bibles.

Serving Opportunity at Northern Illinois Food Bank
Sign Up for our "Live the Love" Serving Opportunity - Thursday, July 15

We are excited to host our first serving outing since the pandemic. This serving opportunity is open to anyone. We will meet at the facility and serve as a group to sort and pack food items. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a mask. Volunteers will need to provide their own transportation.
We will meet at 12:45 pm to be ready to serve from 1-3:30 PM. 
The address for the Northern Illinois Food Bank is 273 Dearborn Court, Geneva, IL 60134.

Sunday Morning In-Person Adult Bible Study
Sunday Morning Adult Bible Study
During July, Peace offers in-person Sunday morning Adult Bible study at 9:30 am in the Great Room. Our study is called "The Character of God." 
We will spend time looking at the communicable characteristics of God. Exploring these characteristics will help us in our faith walk as we learn who God is and understand who He intends us to be. Bring your Bibles and join us! For more information, contact class facilitator

Peace Kids! Olympic Camp Preschool and Kindergarten
We are excited about our new PeaceKids! Olympic Camp (in-person) for children in preschool and kindergarten!  Olympic Camp 2021 will be held July 12 - 15 from 9 to 11:30 AM.  Registration is required and the cost is $15 per child.  Each day during our Olympic-themed camp there will be fun games, activities, music (singing & dancing), crafts, and snacks!  All our PK/K campers will receive an Olympic Camp t-shirt, too!  We will look at stories in the Bible where God had people do some amazing things and learn that God helps us, too!  


We have limited space so register early!  
(Covid precautions: Peace is currently following area school district and DCFS recommendations. Masks are required for all indoor activities; however, when children are playing outside masks are optional.) 
Peace Youth Serving Week July 19-22
Peace Youth Serving Week 2021!
All middle and high school youth are invited to join us for Serving Week 2021! We have a special week planned that is not only fun but a chance to volunteer within our community.
 
When? July 19 - 22, 2021 from 8:30 AM to 2 PM.  Drop off and pick up at Peace Church.
Cost is $15 per youth. (Serving Week T-shirt included, too!)

We will serve around our community (for example FMSC and Northern Illinois Food Bank) in the morning and then head back to Peace for lunch, devotion time, and social time!  
 
What to Bring: Sack Lunch (Drinks provided), Sunscreen, & Water Bottle.

Olympic Camp Grades 1-5 July 26-28
Olympic Camp (Grades 1 -5)

Olympic Camp for Elementary-Aged Kids (Grades 1 - 5)  will be held July 26 - 28 from 9-11:30 AM. Registration is required and the cost is $10 per child.  
 
Our three-day camp will include lots of games (bathing suit & towel needed for Wednesday), snacks, and Bible study. We will also make tie-dye shirts, too (t-shirt provided)!  
 

We have limited space so register early!
