Join Pastor Marty the Sundays of February and March as we work through a resource called Guiding Families of LGBT+ LOVED ONES: For Every Pastor And Parent And All Who Care . This was
produced by Lead Them Home , a Christian ministry with a conservative understanding of sexuality and marriage, but also a commitment to love and guide the LGBT youth growing up in churches like Peace. This class requires both registration and purchase of the workbook Guiding Families . Register online by clicking here or call the Church Office. Workbooks are $20 each (couples can share).

As we study his life, we'll discover ways we can grow in faith and develop spiritual stamina that helps us thrive in every season.

Explore God - We All Have Questions.

Have you seen the signs and billboards around Chicago and the suburbs? Explore God is a community initiative to encourage people to learn more about God in a very personal and real way. Churches, like Peace, want those who have questions or doubts to feel that they can come and explore who God is in a safe place.

Peace will be participating in this amazing community outreach in February by hosting a discussion group on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Our first discussion session will be February 4. This discussion group will be a
4-week study on Knowing God. This opportunity is open to everyone - whether you are new to the Christian faith or have been a long-time Christian - we all have questions. It's also a great opportunity to bring a friend who has questions or learn how to initiate and engage in faith conversations with others. A sign-up will be in the Lobby. Blanket-Making Event February 5

Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) and the Women's Evening Bible Study will co-host a Blanket Making event at Peace on Tuesday , February 5 at 7:00 pm. The goal of this event is to create as many No-Sew blankets as possible for Lutheran World Relief. The need continues to grow with many areas entering cold, winter months ahead.
Sewing supplies will be provided. If you want to purchase a blanket kit (55" x70"), JoAnn Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, and Michael's has a great selection of kits and/or fleece material. Our next monthly breakfast is coming up on Saturday, February 9
at 8:00 am. We will start into Tony Dungy's Bible Study " Quiet Strength." This is a great study based on Tony's experience as a Christian leader of men. We'll plan to cover several chapters in our meetings this spring. Chef Jim & crew will whip up another culinary masterpiece. Join us and bring a friend!

Mark your calendars! We have the dates set for our annual High School Retreat to Camp Timberlee. Camp Timberlee is a Christian camp located in West Troy, WI not far from Lake Geneva area. Would You Be A Prayer Buddy?

We Need 5 more Care & Share Prayer Buddies!

For those of you who have agreed to be a Prayer Buddy for one of our Care & Share families, we would like to graciously thank you for your commitment. If you are not already a Prayer Buddy or if you would like to also pray for another family, then we have 5 families who need a Prayer Buddy. Some families will send us particular prayer requests, but we all can use a prayer for God's love and strength. Also, an encouraging card about once a month would be nice, but not required. Your name and the family's name will remain anonymous to each other, and C&S can provide you with a card and mailing! We keep in touch with these families only until May 1. Coins For Caring Network

Coins For Caring Network
Pregnancy centers such as Caring Network Illinois bring
life-affirming resources to their communities, and empower women and men to choose life for their unborn children. Out in the Lobby, the Coins for Caring Network display is available offering baby bottles to be taken home, filled with pocket change, and returned to Peace by March 1. The money collected will be delivered to Caring Network to help hundreds of women and save countless lives. Please remember to stop by the Lobby table and pick up your baby bottle today as we celebrate God's gift of Life!
