FMSC Packing Event This Saturday

FMSC 11/4 Packing Event Update
We had over 1500 people volunteer to pack meals and all the slots are full! We still could use a few volunteers to help clean up afterward.
If interested, please e-mail Ralph Blessing:  ralphie34@aol.com

We also still need prayers for a safe event and to raise funds to pay for the meals. You can help by donating online now.
Other ways to help:
Check if you company will match the donation.
Write a check to Peace and mention FMSC in the subject line
Grab a coin collector and bring in your change - every $.22 pays for a meal. And thank you for all of your support!
Sleep Out Saturday November 4 at Peace
Last year, over 2,000 community members helped homeless families in DuPage County cross the bridge from homelessness to self-sufficiency through Sleep Out Saturday, Bridge Communities' largest fundraising and awareness-building event.
On November 4 , local youth, church and community groups will sleep out once again!  Our High School Youth Group will participate once again and would love to have you participate, too! Our goal is not only to raise awareness, but also raise money to donate to Bridge Communities. We'll meet around 6/7 pm and overnight outside on the playground at Peace until 7:00 am on Sunday morning.  If you are interested, please sign up here. W e are looking for adult chaperones - we need 1 male and 2 females to help with this evening. Let us know if you can help!

Join us during the Education Hour on November 5 at 9:30 am.

The Pastor's Bible study is being cancelled this week so that the Middle School Sunday School class can enjoy their annual "Bring Your Parents to Sunday School" event in the Great Room.  Please join the Adult Bible study in Room 305 as they continue to discuss the Reformation.

Clothing Drive Has Begun
We are collecting clean, gently-worn fall/winter clothes for all ages for Care & Share. We are also collecting good, used children's reading books (for ages 10 and under). Please put your items in the GYM trailer which is located in the parking lot. It will be open during both Sunday services through November 12.
Please do not leave items outside of the trailer.
If you forget to bring your items to church by November 12, you can drop them off with us during our set up for Thanksgiving on Friday night, November 17 at 6 pm. Hold on to any spring/summer clothes until we collect those before Easter.
FairyTales In Concert November 10
Come enjoy an evening of fairytale movie tunes we all know and love. Sung by Chicago musical theatre  performers, this concert will surely bring magic to  everyone who attends. You will even get a chance to sing along, play interactive games and meet a real-life princess and a superhero at the end of the show!
Photos with the princess and superhero after the show are included! The concert is primarily targeted to kids ages 3-9 and those who are a "bit" older, but who are still kids at heart!

Women's Online Bible Study Begins Soon
Starting a New Session!
Peace Women's Online Bible Study (November/December). This fall, we launched a new Women's Online Study and it was a wonderful experience for many of our women.
We are beginning a new 6-week session on  Monday, November 6.  Our  study will be: "Come With Me" by Suzanne Eller.  As we study the stories of Jesus' disciples, we'll be challenged to step back from our day-to-day worries and "to do" list and move toward the One who promises to delight and surprise His people. Books can be purchased through Peace.
Books or digital copies may also be ordered through Amazon, Christianbook.com, or Barnes and Noble. This study will be a combination of guided personal study, discussion participation online with other women, and a social gathering at the end of the study. Sign up in the Lobby or online. Feel free to invite friends to participate. For more information or to register, please contact Katherine Richards at katherine@peacehome.org.
