Work & Faith Workshop October 19
Both men and women - working and non-working are invited to this enriching and valuable workshop. No matter what your day-to-day job might be, our work and faith should intersect. During our morning workshop, we will explore biblical truths that apply no matter what type of work we do. T his is a great  opportunity to explore some of the issues we  encounter as we try to navigate being a Christ-follower in our jobs. Great discussion and encouragement will  definitely be part of our time together! 
Join us on Saturday, October 19 from 8:30 to 11 am.

Men's Conference Saturday, October 26 Register Now!

The Men of Peace will plan to attend the Moody " Walk Worthy" men's conference as our October meeting. This takes place Saturday October 26 from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Meet at Peace at 7:30 am to travel to the conference together. Prepare to be challenged and encouraged in your walk with Christ! Enjoy inspiring worship and Bible teaching from Ed Stelzer, James Meeks, and Mark Jobe.  
Breakfast, lunch, a conference t-shirt, and a free book from Moody are included. Cost is $65 per person (non-refundable) if registered soon. LWML Stamp Party October 20
Stamp Party LWML Serving Event Sunday, October 20

All women are invited to join us on  Sunday, October 20 from
Noon to 2 pm in the Great Room
 for a fun serving event! We will be cutting/sorting postage stamps that will be sent to raise money for missions that LWML supports. A light lunch will be served and there will be plenty of socializing fun as we work together!

Peace Pumpkin Party October 25
It's a Peace Pumpkin Party! Friday, October 25
Kids and their families are invited to join us on Friday, October 25 from 6 to 7:30 pm.  Families will receive a pumpkin to carve together.  We will also have a story time, refreshments, games, and a special pumpkin craft that kids can decorate. Peace Hosts PADS October 30-31
PADS  5th Wednesday- It's Our Turn! October 30-31
In months that have 5 Wednesdays, it is Peace's turn to provide staffing and food for our PADS shelter. Opportunities include making beds, setting dinner tables, serving dinner, clean-up, monitoring during the night, making breakfast and cleaning up in the morning after the guests have left. You can also sign up to provide the food. Sign-up sheets are in the Lobby.

As Christians, what do we believe and why? God gave us the Bible and the Ten Commandments and the Church developed creeds to document the essentials of the faith, but how do we live in light of what we say we believe? Join us for an adult look at the basics of the faith with the goal of transforming your life.
This class is led by Tom Brauer and will meet on October 13 and 20 in Room 305.  
Martin Luther Reformation Presentation
October 27 9:30 AM
Join us Sunday morning, October 27 at 9:30 am (during the Education Hour) as we learn more about Martin Luther within the cultural and historical context of that time period.This presentation is DVD based, but will provide a look at the events during this time period that influenced Luther and others in the reformation. Enjoy coffee, some German sweet treats, and a very fascinating look at the events that changed church history!  
(This presentation will take the place of the Pastor Study and Adult Ed on October 27.)

High School Corn Maze Trip October 13
We're going to the Haunted Corn Maze at the Jonamac Orchard on October 13 from 4-10 pm. We will meet at Peace and carpool there. Cost is $13.

Care and Share Clothing Drive Nov. 3

Thanksgiving Care & Share will be here soon!
Please start going through your closets for any clean, gently-worn fall/winter clothes for our Thanksgiving Care & Share distribution. Many Care & Share families need winter clothes, especially coats.
Don't bring them to Peace yet--the GYM trailer will be in the parking lot starting November 3.
We will accept clothes for all ages and sizes.
