WELCOME TO WORLD PUBLIC INTEREST JOURNALISM
There is an important reason for each article selected for DWF NEWS. Some are "good news" stories, constructive ideas to make the world better and safer for now and for future generations. The Earth Constitution offers a big picture solution to war, to world crime & injustice, to environmental collapse. It waits in the wings to replace the outdated UN Charter and create a "new UN."
Often the subject matter represent obstacles to achieving world peace and justice. Neo-Nazi's and Zionists are often the underlying party who may resort to propaganda to manipulate the public, and to world crimes such as assassinations, covert operations, and/or military force to conquer and control less powerful nations.
DWF NEWS postulates that the USA deep state along with Israeli Zionists yearn to conquer the world, by any means necessary -- including the outright rejection of international law and order for themselves. They mock the United Nations and the 187 nations denied voting rights. The USA veto power is not the only guilty party. Russia and China also hold UN Security Council vetoes used in self-interest rather than for the world public interest. -- R. Kotila, PhD

The Time Has Arrived for a Comprehensive Middle East Peace
Jeffrey D. Sachs & Sybil Fares Transcend Media Service
EXCERPTS
Instead of endless wars, Israel’s security can be ensured by two key diplomatic steps –ending militancy by establishing a Palestinian state with UN Security Council guarantees, and lifting sanctions on Iran in exchange for a peaceful and verifiable nuclear program.
The far-right Israeli government’s refusal to accept a Palestinian state is the root of the problem.
When the British empire promised a Jewish homeland in Mandatory Palestine in 1917, the Palestinian Arabs constituted 90% of the population and Jews less than 10% of the population. In 1947, with US intense lobbying, the UN General Assembly voted to grant 56% of Palestine to a new Zionist state, while the Jews were only 33% of the population. Palestinians rejected this as a violation of their right to self-determination. After the 1948 war, Israel expanded to 78% of Palestine, and in 1967, occupied the remaining 22%—Gaza, the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights.
Instead of returning occupied lands in exchange for peace, Israeli right-wing politicians insisted on permanent control of 100% of the land, with the Likud founding charter declaring in 1977 that there would be only Israeli sovereignty “between the Sea and Jordan”
Here is a seven-point peace plan in which all parties would benefit. Israel would gain peace and security. Palestine would achieve statehood. Iran would win an end to economic sanctions. The US would win an end to costly and illegal wars fought on Israel’s behalf, as well as the risks of nuclear proliferation if the current violence continues. The Middle East would win economic development, security and justice. READ MORE

The "peace president's" latest target for war: Lebanon

The US had always taken Israel’s side in all wars in the Middle East. So it is nothing new that Trump would meddle in the affairs of Lebanon, where in fact he is demanding of the Lebanese that they disarm Hezbollah and simply surrender to Israel and allow it to invade without resisting. Otherwise our peace president will attack Lebanon unprovoked. And then quickly proclaim “peace.”
We Americans have also always been told that Hezbollah is a “terrorist” organization and that it must not be allowed to fight in Lebanon even when Lebanon is attacked unprovoked.
The most grievous atrocities are no longer hidden and everyone everywhere can see the true face of Israel, which has remained the same since the mid 20th Century but was kept away from the news-consuming public for over 75 years.
But just as the world was being exposed for the first time to the truth of Israeli atrocities and crimes against humanity, the US-Israeli crime syndicate (no, there is no legitimate democratic government here) has begun to clamp down against the people exposing the truth, treating them – and not the criminal regime in Tel Aviv – like criminals.
This repression of decent PEOPLE OF CONSCIENCE was all the regime had left, and Trump has become the enforcer.
For almost a year now, Trump has far exceeded his constitutional role as chief executive of the law and crossed the red line into micromanagement of private and public institutions of higher education, punishing University administrators for allowing dissident students to stage rallies and protests – a role the universities have always had, for example in the protests against the Vietnam war and in the civil rights protests and marches. So far Trumpism’ jackboots are visible everywhere. Students no longer have the right to criticize Israel, despite its open crimes. Students can be arrested, detained (just like in Nazi Germany) and expelled from campus. Trump has transformed university rectors and presidents into brutal gestapo officers, making them responsible for maintaining a pro-Israel atmosphere on campuses, and to hell with the Constitution. Editor's commentary: US government disinformation schemes manipulate the public using "psyopcracy" explains investigative journalist Joe Lauria. These techniques are so effective that Americans overlook their government's long history of flagrant international criminal behavior. From an early age we are indoctrinated with patriotic symbols and events, proudly displaying the flag and declaring that the USA is #1!
We are trained to believe that our country is without question "the good guy" and that certain other countries are the "enemy," the "bad guys." The USA must always have "enemies," real or imagined, in order to maintain its thriving War Business economy.
Key words such as "NATIONAL SECURITY" act as a group hypnotic signal eliciting a known response. When the public or politicians hear "national security" they slip into the equivalent of a trance and passively accept the usual (fake) plea from the Pentagon that more money is urgently needed or national defense will be threatened. -- R. Cathy Vogan, executive producer of Consortium News‘ webcast CN Live!, coined a new term to describe rule by psyops, or psychological operations: psyopcracy. ...
According to Wikipedia:
“Psychological operations (PSYOP) are operations to convey selected information and indicators to audiences to influence their emotions, motives, and objective reasoning, and ultimately the behavior of governments, organizations, groups, and individuals.
The purpose of United States psychological operations is to induce or reinforce behavior perceived to be favorable to U.S. objectives.”
Thus the American people are continuously subject to a number of psychological operations otherwise known as “the news.” ...
U.S. intelligence officials feed journalists disinformation to create a false narrative that is intended to mislead the public and cover-up what is actually taking place.
The constant reinforcement of these lies becomes entrenched in the public mind and after time comes to be accepted as unquestionable truth.
Through such operations, the American people were led to believe for years that the United States was winning in Vietnam, when it was actually losing, ...
... many examples have followed of completely false stories being planted into people’s minds to start and keep a war going, the fake WMD narrative in Iraq perhaps the most infamous.
Today the wars people are being fooled about are in Ukraine and Gaza.
Sometimes a psyop doesn’t involve inserting false information, so much as leaving out what’s true.
The American people, and by extension, people around the world, have been led to believe that an unprovoked Russian madman started the war in Ukraine.
That’s because they are purposely not told that the war actually began in 2014 after a U.S.-backed overthrow of the elected government in Kiev led Russian speakers in Donbass to declare independence, after which the illegitimate government militarily attacked them.
Other facts are removed from the story, such as Russia’s proposed treaties with the U.S. and NATO in December 2021 that would have prevented Russia’s intervention in the Ukrainian civil war.
And now the psyopcracy is deluding Western Europe into believing Russia is about to attack them.
The history of Israel’s ethnic cleansing of Palestine is also whitewashed to lead the U.S. public into believing that Israel is the “victim” that is only “defending itself.” READ MORE

EXCERPTS
The ongoing war in Gaza is also shaping the thinking of settler militias, as well as bolstering Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir. The war has created a permissive environment that seems to embolden these actors to accelerate their agenda in the West Bank.
Settlers have long harboured the ambition of emptying the West Bank of its Palestinian population. For years, this aspiration was broadly understood, even among settlers themselves, as an unattainable fantasy.
However, the near-total destruction of Gaza and the growing perception that the ethnic cleansing of the Gaza Strip has, at least semi-explicitly, become one of the war aims of Prime Minister Netanyahu, have emboldened settler groups to believe that such a scenario might also be possible in the West Bank.
... some of the methods currently employed by the Israeli military in Gaza appear to be gradually making their way to the West Bank, albeit on a smaller scale.
In recent months, large sections of the Tulkarm and Jenin refugee camps, along with other areas, have been bulldozed, and hundreds of homes have been demolished by Israeli forces. The images emerging from these sites increasingly resemble those coming out of Gaza.
Even if the West Bank is not yet experiencing a full replication of the Gaza campaign, what is unfolding may well be seen as preparation for a more extensive effort by Smotrich and the settler militias to “clear” key areas of Palestinians.
Smotrich and Ben Gvir, who serve as the settler movement’s most prominent representatives within the Knesset, are now deeply embedded within the core of the Israeli government, ...READ MORE

Restoring UN credibility and effectiveness is only possible if nations work together instead of allowing differences to derail progress
EXCERPTS
The world is facing complex global challenges in acute need of solutions, from forging peace where there is war, to tackling climate change and combating poverty. Urgent solutions are needed, but they will only be possible if nations overcome their differences and work together for the common good.
Former UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon, speaking in Hong Kong recently, made a timely call for solidarity in what he aptly described as “an unprecedented era of new, interconnected crises and elevated global uncertainty”.
The United Nations marks its 80th anniversary this year. It was formed amid the devastation caused by the second world war, to ensure such horrors would not be experienced again. Article 1 of the UN Charter says it is “to maintain international peace and security” through collaborative measures to settle disputes peacefully.
But the UN has been unable to prevent wars in Ukraine, Gaza and Iran. It must show it can stay relevant and effective amid growing unilateralism, with international relations driven by differences, distrust and tension. There is also an urgent need for progress in other areas, notably on climate change. Last year was the hottest on record.
The UN set 17 sustainable development goals a decade ago, including on the provision of food and water, education and protection of the environment. Some progress has been made, but it needs to get much closer to its goals. Meanwhile, the size, efficiency and cost of the organisation is in question.
Ban, rightly, highlighted the need to strengthen the UN through “timely and necessary reforms”. But this will not be easy. The UN is well aware of the need for change. A “pact for the future” was adopted in September, providing a basis for it to refocus and revitalise.
Much-needed reform of the UN Security Council is part of that agenda. It must become more inclusive, with nations from the Asia-Pacific, Africa and Latin America better represented.
Restoring the credibility and effectiveness of the UN will only be possible if nations work together instead of allowing their differences to derail progress. Funding is desperately needed, at a time when nations are spending more on defence and less on global humanitarian aid and development.
US President Donald Trump’s withdrawal of his country from key multinational organisations and pacts, including the Paris Agreement on climate change, has set a bad example and done much damage.
But rather than despair, the world must pull together in these dangerous and uncertain times. As Ban said, there is a need for greater unity, solidarity and global citizenship. This can help reshape and energise the UN, making it better able to tackle today’s unprecedented challenges.

AI top guns want nuke power despite plutonium, nuclear waste, cancers, and genetic effects
AI Geniuses' Nuclear Energy Plans Overlook Doomsday Clock
Roger Kotila DWF NEWS
| | |
Experts who can further advance the capacities of Artificial Intelligence (AI) are in such short supply that, according to the Wall Street Journal (June 28-29, 2025), there is a "secret file of geniuses" known as "The List".
This handful of AI experts are being offered hundreds of millions of dollars to be hired by the likes of Meta (Facebook), Alphabet (Google), Amazon, Microsoft, Open AI, Anthropic and other major players.
In their eagerness to make AI models ever more "powerful," these "geniuses" appear to have enthusiastically, and uncritically, advocated for a resurgence of nuclear power plants. Why? Advanced AI will require new infrastructure data centers that take enormous amounts of energy.
WARNING: AI GENIUSES APPEAR TO HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT PLUTONIUM OR THE DOOMSDAY CLOCK. PLUTONIUM COMES FROM NUCLEAR REACTORS. IT MAKES NUCLEAR BOMBS.
Fortunately "Return to Fukushima" (OR Books, 2025) by investigative journalist Thomas Bass didn't forget the downside of nuclear power. Bass went to Fukushima Daiichi, Japan to see for himself the aftermath of the 2011 earthquake/tsunami-caused nuclear meltdown which is still active and not under adequate control.
Bass tells us that the Japanese government and Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco) have a sordid history of lying to the public about Fukushima's problems including its nuclear waste now dumped into the ocean.
The nuclear lobby we learn, is claiming that nuclear power is "green." Bass concludes differently. He argues that nuclear power is a "dangerous technology" protected by "large amounts of disinformation and propaganda."
Aware that traditional nuclear power plants are too expensive to build, the nuclear lobby back-up plan is to invest in "next generation small modular reactors". If something goes wrong with a "small" reactor, there is less of an expensive mess in the event of a meltdown.
What's wrong with this picture? Can our geniuses not only advance AI capacity for large corporations, but at the same time offer a green solution for the needed new energy infrastructure which is desired? AI has a voracious appetite for energy, but Bass says that nuclear power is definitely not the answer.
But our geniuses apparently disagree with Bass. They feel that nuclear power can provide the desired massive amounts of "clean," green energy, hence convincing the Trump Administration into fast tracking the establishment of new nuclear power plants --with full government support.
Why government support? Because private insurance refuses to insure nuclear reactors -- either the large or small ones. They are too dangerous if something goes wrong. Without government support nuclear power is dead.
The public and AI advocates must ask themselves if advances in AI are so important as to risk massive expansion of nuclear power either in the USA, or worldwide??. It's not just private corporations and the USA government caught in the moment; China is currently building 14 nuclear reactors with plans for up to 150 new reactors by 2035.
The language to promote nuclear power
Nuclear power has become a cult with an almost religious belief in what is falsely presented as endless, cheap, clean, green energy. Fission. Liquid-metal, sodium-cooled, high temperature gas reactors. Fusion. Fast breeder reactors. Next-gen nuclear. Small modular reactors (SMRs).
Why nuclear power is not worth the risks
Plutonium from nuclear reactors is for making bombs. DOOMSDAY CLOCK. There is a nuclear missile race underway between the USA and Russia. Lessor powers like France, the UK, Pakistan, China and Israel have nuclear weapons. Nuclear waste has yet to find a solution. Radiation can cause cancers, other symptoms, genetic defects and death. Nuclear war could end the world as we know it.
In view of the potential perils of nuclear power, it would seem appropriate for our expert AI geniuses to re-think their demand for nuclear power plants--either large or small. Slow down. AI can wait pending an energy plan which is safer, cheaper and truly green.
The Earth Constitution states that the (Earth Federation) government must control/regulate nuclear power. ... Article 4.31 requires an assessment of technological innovations of supranational consequence which may cause hazards or perils to humanity or the environment, and to regulate as may be found necessary to protect human health and welfare.--R. Kotila, Ph.D.
