Council approves vehicle donation to Cochise College for SEALETA
At its regular meeting on Thursday, the Sierra Vista City Council approved the donation of two surplus Sierra Vista Police Department vehicles to Cochise College in support of the Southeastern Arizona Law Enforcement Training Academy.
SEALETA is a regional law enforcement training academy that has helped SVPD save costs associated with registration, travel, and lodging expenses for police recruits. SVPD requested to donate a Ford Crown Victoria and Ford Explorer that have been taken out of patrol service to support the academy. The vehicles will be used for emergency driving, traffic stops, and field problems training at SEALETA.
