Hometown Holiday brings joy to Drake Field

A simple countdown and the flip of a switch kicked off the holiday season in Peachtree City.

Family and friends flocked to Drake Field for Hometown Holiday, December 3rd. Santa's sleigh, festive music, cookie decorating and so much more greeted people as they walked through an illuminated archway.

Santa, escorted by our Fire Department, made his grand debut promptly at 7PM. He is a busy man during this time of year, after all. Santa and Mayor Learnard lit the tree to oohs and ahhs all around.

If you missed the tree lighting, don't worry. You can still come down to Drake Field and take a selfie with it for a new holiday memory.

Election Day is December 6th. Make a plan to vote.

The runoff election for US Senate and the vacant post 3 Peachtree City City Council seat is tomorrow, Tuesday, December 6th.

Polls are open from 7AM to 7PM.

The U.S. Senate runoff and the Peachtree City special election runoff are being conducted separately. Peachtree City voters will use separate ballots and voting machines at every polling location. Residents wishing to cast ballots in both elections must notify poll workers of their intentions when arriving at their precinct.

Any Peachtree City voter who experiences issues at the polls may contact the Fayette County elections office at 770.305.5408. Provisional ballots are available for those who may feel that their information is not accurately reflected on the voter rolls.

More details about the election, including sample ballots, can be found by visiting: https://fayettecountyga.gov/elections/
