Peachtree City Launches Civic Clerk Agenda Management Tool

Peachtree City has partnered with CivicPlus® to implement its Agenda & Meeting Management Select solution, also known as CivicClerk®. Peachtree City will use the software to streamline the automation of its agenda and meeting minutes management processes and enable convenient access by residents to public content. The software also allows city council members to participate in live meetings remotely anywhere from any Internet-enabled device.

"We are excited to partner with CivicPlus® to bring this innovative solution to our city," said Robert Curnow, City Manager for Peachtree City. "Our residents will now have better access to important information and meetings, making it easier for them to engage with their local government."

With Peachtree City’s use of Agenda & Meeting Management Select, residents can utilize an accessible, mobile-friendly public portal with email subscription capabilities, and benefit from such conveniences as the ability to view or download PDFs of agendas, meeting minutes, agenda packets, and other documents, access a meeting calendar, and watch live/on-demand meeting videos.

“CivicPlus is built on designing innovative solutions for local governments,” said Megan Asikainen, Solution Manager. “We continually invest in our products to strengthen and transform the way local governments serve and communicate with their citizens. We are proud to partner with Peachtree City to help its leaders accomplish their transparency and document management goals.”

CivicPlus has over 20 years of experience working with local governments, and serves over 4,000 clerk leaders, more than any other technology provider. To learn more about their Agenda & Meeting Management Software, please visit civicplus.com.

Statewide Burn Ban Starts Today

The ozone in Atlanta's air can reach unhealthy levels during the summer months.

Ozone is formed when volatile organic compounds and nitrogren oxides react in the presence of sunlight. A major source of these pollutants is the burning of fuels and other combustible materials.

The Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) has identified open burning as a significant contributor of the pollutants that form ozone. Therefore, open burning in metro Atlanta and the surrounding areas must be restricted.

Beginning May 1st and ending September 30th, EPD’s open burning ban will be enforced in 54 Georgia counties, including Fayette.

The open burning ban prohibits citizens and businesses from burning yard and land-clearing debris. This rule is in addition to the year-round state ban on the burning of household garbage.
