Peachtree City enters last week of early voting

Advance voting for the November 8, 2022, Peachtree City City Council post-three special election wraps up this week. The special election will be held in conjunction with the statewide November general election.


Below are the total numbers of ballots cast as of COB Saturday, October 29, 2022, these numbers will be updated daily and can be viewed by visiting Peachtree City's election page.


Peachtree City Special Election Absentee In Person (Early Voting) Ballots Cast:

Fayette County Elections Office: 120

Fayette County Library: 54

Peachtree City Library: 5,321

Tyrone Former Police Office: 712 

Total: 6,207

Absentee By Mail Issued: 165

Absentee By Mail Returned: 72

 

The general and special elections are on the same day, but they’re being conducted separately. Peachtree City voters will use separate ballots and voting machines at every polling location. Voters wishing to cast ballots in both elections must notify election staff of their intentions when arriving at their precinct.


Any Peachtree City voter who experiences issues at the polls may contact the Fayette County elections office at 770.305.5408. Provisional ballots are available for those who may feel that their information is not accurately reflected on the voter rolls.

Monday- Friday: October 31 - November 4 (9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.)

Absentee voting by mail is also available for the special election.

 

Voters in Peachtree City can request an absentee ballot from the Fayette County elections office using the state-approved form: https://fayettecountyga.gov/elections/pdf/2022_Absentee_App-9721_2.pdf.

 

To vote by mail in the special city council election, residents must request a separate absentee ballot application and specify that it is for the November 8, 2022, Peachtree City municipal special election.

Residents can now estimate their city tax bill using a new, convenient tool on the city's website.


*Calculator estimates city property tax based on the property value entered. Additionally, the calculator does not provide estimates for county or school board percentage of property taxes.

St. Paul Lutheran School Students Visit City Hall 

Friday, we welcomed 2nd grade teacher Julie Dahn and the kids from St. Paul Lutheran School to dity hall.


The kids learned about city government from Mayor Learnard and got an exclusive look behind the scenes.

2022 Peachtree City Fall Festival

.We celebrated fall (and Halloween a little early) Saturday at Drake Field.


Big kids, little kids, and kids at heart donned their most creative costumes for an evening of fun. 


Pizza, cotton candy, funnel cakes, and popcorn topped the fall festival's menu. And for those who still had room left in their bellies, a pie-eating contest!


The Weather Channel even featured our fall festival on its morning show, AMHQ.

Resident Renewals

The 3-year renewal notices for 2023 - 2025, totaling $45, are due by December 31, 2022. A $20 late fee will apply to all late renewals.


Non-Resident Annual Renewals

Non-resident renewals for 2023 will be mailed out on December 12, 2022, and are due by January 31, 2023. The new supplemental sticker will be valid until January 31, 2024. Non-residents pay the $15 annual registration PLUS a $235 path user fee. A $20 late fee will apply to all late renewals.
