Pediatric Updates, Opportunities &
Events
Wednesday, 31 March 2021 | Issue 36
Dear Nevada AAP Members,

Following on the success of our 2020 virtual annual meeting, we’ve decided to plan another virtual event this year to enable attendees from all parts of our great state to gather together. Although we still hope to plan in-person meetings when it is safe to do so, having a virtual CME event assures that all pediatric voices in Nevada can connect and contribute.

Please help us in recruiting possible speakers for our event by sharing this webpage as well as this brief introductory video from Nevada AAP Chapter President Vanessa Slots, MD, FAAP.

Be well,

Leann

UPDATES
Blog Update
Since our last email update, we've posted a new blog post Q&A with Debra Hendrickson, MD, FAAP, Chapter Climate Advocate for the Nevada AAP.

For the article, Dr. Hendrickson was interviewed by Nevada AAP Special Projects Intern Leanne Chen about the impact of climate change on children. Please read and share with your families!

The Nevada AAP Blog gives Chapter Members an opportunity to take state-wide, national, and international health news and best practices, and focus it specifically on improving pediatric healthcare in Nevada. All chapter members are welcome to contribute!

Although we are all practicing "social distancing", there are still many online opportunities to "get together" to network and learn together. We may be physically separated, but not emotionally or intellectually.
