Pediatric illness has -- mercifully -- played a small role in the COVID-19 pandemic so far, but perhaps as a consequence, scholarship regarding COVID-19 in children remains sparse. We reviewed the current literature to create this basic guide, acknowledging that most data is current only up to the end of March due to the standard delay of the publication cycle.

Chapter Election for the 2020 - 2022 Term
The American Academy of Pediatrics, California Chapter 2 (AAP-CA2) Nominating Committee announces the upcoming Chapter Election. From May 18 through May 31, voting members will have an opportunity to vote for the 2020-2022 AAP-CA2 Board of Directors for the positions of president-elect, treasurer, secretary and members-at-large. A "Special Edition - Chapter Election" email containing the electronic ballot and candidate statements will be sent on Sunday, May 17 for review, with the electronic ballot opening on the 18th. National AAP Election

Voting for AAP president-elect and national officers will take place from May 26-June 9. All terms begin Jan. 1, 2021. Voting will be conducted online only. Watch for an email message that contains your personalized link to the election ballot (no additional ballot login information will be required).
 
Members will choose the next president-elect: Mobeen H. Rathore, M.D., FAAP, or Moira A. Szilagyi, M.D., Ph.D., FAAP. The winner will serve as AAP president in 2022.
