Members of Harmon's Company will be in residence at the Wentworth House and will demonstrate the use of flintlock muskets and traditional snowshoes, plus the clothing, equipment and tactics used by the frontier militia. Visitors may also take a tour of the house; warm up by the hearth and watch food being prepared in 18th century fashion; and learn about other aspects of winter life in colonial New England. The public is invited to visit the Wentworth House on Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm, and again on Sunday from 9 am to 2 pm. Artist Exhibit: Faces
Artist Reception: Saturday, January 12th, 6-9pm
1 Washington Street, Suite 1177, Dover
This exhibit features the work of many resident and member artists revolving around the simple theme of Faces. From paintings to sculpture, photography to poetry, this show encompasses many different types of art, and as many different styles. This exhibition invites the public to come and celebrate the diversity of that which binds us all together. It's been said that the eyes are the gateway to the soul. It is the loving hand of the artist that can capture that essence, and bring it to life for generations, and it is the poet who can do the same with words.

The pubic is encouraged to meet the artists during the reception on Saturday, January 12 from 6 - 9 PM. Light refreshments will be served, and ample parking may be found around the building.  The show is up now, and runs through February 1, coinciding with the February Dover Art Walk.  www.theartcenterdover.com
