UNH Men's Hockey vs. Merrimack

Whittemore Center, Durham
Join us for Crohn's Disease Awareness Night where fans can participate in a crowd favorite, Chuck-a-Puck, with all proceeds supporting the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of New England. It's also time for another Fan Appreciation Friday. The first 1000 fans will receive the second set of trading cards in the series. Make sure you collect them all! Also, players from the men's ice hockey team will be on hand to sign autographs.

Join the Wildcats for their annual Skating Strides game in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Help us pink the rink! Hockey East will be on hand selling special pink gear, and the team will be raffling several limited edition jerseys with all proceeds benefiting the Ellie Fund.

Friends from Hockey East will also be on hand to help us raise money for breast cancer awareness as part of the Hockey East Skating Strides initiative. Fans can participate in a Chuck-a-Puck with all proceeds going to the Ellie Fund. 
Family Place Workshop

The Dover Public Library will offer a series of free Family Place Workshops starting on Saturday, January 5 from 11am - 12pm. These programs, designed for children ages 1-4 and their caregivers, run for five consecutive Saturdays. They are fun, informal, play-based programs which provide a rich environment of toys, books, and art activities.
 Families have the opportunity to spend time together, make new friends, and talk one-on-one with a different community resource professional each week. Topics will include early literacy; child development; speech, hearing and language; nutrition; and music, play and health. You may register once for the entire five-week series on the library's website,, or call the Children's Room at 603-516-6052. This program is free and open to the public.
Concert and Contradance Party with Gary Sredzienski & Seacoast Charter School
Saturday, January 5th, 6-8pm
Dover City Hall
On January 5, 2019, Gary Sredzienski (aka Creekman) will don his wetsuit and head into the waters of the Bellamy River for a charity swim to benefit the Seacoast Charter School. Following Sredzienski's swim, Creekman will swap out his wetsuit for his accordion for a concert at Dover City Hall. (For more information on the swim, visit our website: ) The party will really heat up when Sredzienski, a world-renowned accordionist, is joined by music students from the Seacoast Charter School for a participatory contra dance party. Expect to be wowed by these extraordinary students!

Afterschool STEAM Club

This winter, The Children's Museum of NH is offering an afterschool STEAM club in the STEAM Innovation Lab for Students ages 6-10. This 5-week program will focus on science and art! Students will get to use STEAM Lab equipment, and work on hands-on, messy, and fun projects each week. Please pack a water bottle and a nut-free snack (optional). Pre-registration is required. The cost is $50 for Members and $60 for Non-members. Please note that registration closes one week before the club begins.  To register, visit

The event in Rochester will include a faculty and staff meet and greet as well as tours of the facility, which houses classrooms, quiet study areas and a 17,000 square foot advanced composites lab.  Information will be available on the advanced composites manufacturing (ACM) program.  As well as programs in Nondestructive Testing and Computer Numeric Control.

In addition to meeting faculty and staff, representatives will also be on hand from the College's Center for Academic Planning and Support and Financial Aid office as well as the free WorkReadyNH employability initiative designed to enhance the workplace skills. Information will also be available on non-credit program offerings through the College's Business and Training Center.
