Help us strengthen first responder peer support!
We invite you to participate in research on first responder peer support experiences conducted by Florida A & M University/2nd Alarm Project.

The survey has 2 modules- one asks questions about your experiences in providing peer support, and the other asks questions about your experience in receiving peer support. You can take one or both modules as you are willing or is appropriate.

This survey is anonymous, meaning NO identifying information is collected. We cannot link a response back to an individual. More details about the survey are on the first page of the informed consent when you click the link
(you can opt in or out after clicking the link).

The survey is approved by the Florida A & M University Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Your participation is incredibly valuable as we work to strengthen peer support for both trained team members and those who receive support.

Thank you for all you do!

The 2nd Alarm Project TM, which includes Florida’s 10-4 Center for Responder Resiliency, is a nonprofit organization established to offer comprehensive, evidence-based resiliency initiatives in our first responder communities.

The 2nd Alarm Project was developed for first responders, by first responders in partnership with behavioral health subject matter experts. What began in 2019 as a SAMHSA grant funded program for NW Florida fire service members has grown to serve as a comprehensive resource for first responders in the state of Florida and beyond.

Our approach seeks to be comprehensive- addressing the needs of our first responders at the individual, family, community, and systems levels. We seek to reduce barriers and increase access to evidence-based behavioral health services for first responders by building internal capacity within each agency and community we serve.
