Fundraiser Ride - Naples Pathway Coalition (NPC)

Naples Bike Brunch March 5th

Last year we had a good number of riders participate in this fundraiser ride for Naples Pathway Coalition. This group is working on multi use trails in Collier county and is a little further along than Friends of BERT. We encourage all to support this group by riding in the event.

BOCCE

Only three weeks left before the playoffs begin with many teams still in contention, and some others doing a great job as spoilers. The last of the unbeaten fell this week when Oak Run B defeated Palmetto Dunes B in a thrilling three game set. This week we had 6 of the 10 games go to a third game tiebreaker.

The current standings are:

In the Lakes Division, Palmetto Dunes A at 9-1, holds a slim 1 game advantage over Palmetto Dunes D 8-2, with Masters 2 only two games back at 7-3, and Island Sound 1B and Master 1 both at 6-4.

The Sound Division is led by Palmetto Dunes B at 8-1, followed by Edgewater 2 and Turnberry 2, both just one game behind at 7-2. Oak Run B and Pinehurst B are dueling for the other playoff spot with Turnberry 1A in striking distance at 4-5.

In the River Division, Island Sound 1B has a two game lead over Southern Hills 2 and Torrey Pines both at 6-3, with Hammock Green close behind at 5-4. However, 4 teams, Island Sound 2A, Seaside 2 and Seaside 3 and Southern Hills 1 all with 4-5 records and still in the running for the last playoff spot.

The top 4 teams in each division will qualify for the playoffs. If a tie were to occur, head-to-head competition will determine who moves on. With three more weeks left, there is still much to decide. Have fun playing Bocce!
