Chow Town Food Truck Rodeo

Our summer food truck rodeo is coming to an end with one final Chow Town this month. Our next food truck rodeo will be held on August 21. Each event is held at Town Hall (2001 Seabrook Island Rd) from 5-8 PM. Below are the vendors for August 21:

Living with Snakes

If you enjoyed coming out to our informational meeting about coyotes and alligators, we have another event this month.

Mark your calendars for Monday, August 5 for an informational meeting all about living with snakes on Seabrook Island.

It will be held at the Lake House in Live Oak Hall at 7:00 PM. SCDNR’s Andrew Gross, State Herpetologist and Certified Wildlife Biologist, will be the featured guest speaker.

Fall Shred Event

Mark your calendars for our free fall shredding event coming up in October. It'll be held on Wednesday, October 30.

It's from 10 AM-12 PM at Town Hall.

Attendees will be limited to three boxes (copy paper box or smaller) or three bags (kitchen trash bag or smaller) per vehicle.

Mayor Kleinman visits Sea Island Habitat for Humanity

Mayor Bruce Kleinman along with Communications Manager Abby Grooms, had the opportunity to meet with leaders at the Sea Island Habitat for Humanity in July.

They were able to see first hand the projects the nonprofit organization is working on and how many people they help in our area.

Sea Island Habitat for Humanity is located on Bohicket Road and was founded in 1978. It's the third oldest Habitat affiliate in the world.

Peak Hurricane Season

A reminder that we are entering peak hurricane season in August. Now is the time to get prepared and make sure you know your evacuation zone.

Evacuation zones were updated this year and Seabrook Island is now in Zone A.

We have new 2024 hurricane guides you can pick up in the lobby of Town Hall that are free.

There are three town grant programs you can apply for.

Upcoming Town Hall Closure

A reminder Town Hall will be closed on Monday, September 2 for Labor Day. Town Hall will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday, September 3.

With beach season in full swing we wanted to remind you of our beach patrol hours. For a full list of beach rules visit our website here.

8:45 AM to 7:15 PM

August 16th – September 30th:

9:45 AM to 4:15 PM

Code Enforcement Portal

A reminder with summer season about to be in full swing, of our town Code Enforcement Portal. You can find it on the homepage of our town website here. This tool may be used to report alleged violations of the town's Code of Ordinances and Development Standards Ordinance.
