Highlights of Our Life and Work
May 12,  2019
Sunday Worship, May 12, 2019
10 am Worship at Crescent Site
We are half way through the Season of Easter and so we continue to hear how the risen Christ transformed the lives of  his disciples.  I've heard it said that Easter is best understood as a verb.   Join us as we welcome the Risen Christ who is Eastering us into a joyful community of new life and hope.    This Sunday we will reflect the story of Tabitha, a disciple who was devoted to acts of service and compassion.  When she died, Peter came and raised her to life.   Read the story in Acts 9:36-43 and begin to wonder how God's Spirit is bringing us to new life and working in and through us to heal and restore the world.

10 am Worship at Cafe Church
Join Rev. Joan McMurtry  (retired minister of First United Church)  on "Mother's Day" to hold sacred the gift of mothering and the God of mothering within.  Listen to a story from her Nepal journeys and attend to your own mothering story with healing grace and gratitude.  Music with Cat Stevens and Louis Armstrong.

The Lenten Lunches were very successful this year. A big thank you to all who helped with the event. Regrettably there are too many people to thank personally. Your assistance and willingness to step up to the plate was much appreciated and such a blessing to the organizing team. We hope those who attended the lunches were inspired by the messages and found opportunities to meet and converse with other members of the faith community on the Peninsula. A total of $434.14 was allocated for Mission & Service. With our thanks - Noreen Fedewich, Joan Strutt & Val Weinert
