UCC's Climate Survey - Please take a few minutes to help our national office glean where members stand on important climate issues.
---
---
In a landmark case called
Juliana v. U.S., twenty-one courageous youth have filed a lawsuit against the United States government for its role in causing climate change and violating their rights to life, liberty, and property, while also failing to protect essential public resources. The youth range in age from 10 to 21, and their voices provoke a moment of moral reckoning for our nation. Their day in court is coming, and now is the time for people of faith and conscience to speak out in solidarity. Follow their story -

Beginning in 2018, we have created a prayer list to invite you to pray with us as we pray for all of our congregations. Each week we will list names of various churches in Penn Central Conference hoping you will add them to your prayer list, and hold them in prayer throughout the week.

Faith Connection Stories |
Salem UCC, Roherstown - NEW |
Salem UCC, Roherstown and 3 Great Loves
Salem UCC of Roherstown, Lancaster at its regular monthly Peace Vigil on September 9 displayed artwork on the theme "3 Great Loves, A Just World for All - Love of Neighbor, Love of Children, Love of Creation" in the side nave of the sanctuary.
Photos of elephants, a lioness, zebras, and Massai kindergarten children taken by a local photographer on safari mingled with those of Salem's own grandchildren and neighbors. Other community neighbors shared images of the work of Church World Service helping refugees study for their citizenship exams and before and after pictures of the controversial pipeline construction on land considered sacred to an order of nuns. Drawings by children and prints shared online, photos of local natural beauty, and needlework and paintings spilled over into Fellowship Hall where we worship in summer months.
Congregants entered the exhibit silently to contemplate and pray while sounds of nature and guitar played softly.
