Pennell Families,

As the winter chill begins to set in, we at Pennell Elementary are buzzing with excitement as we countdown the 9.5 days until winter break! It’s the perfect time to come together and celebrate the hard work and achievements of our amazing students with festive holiday class parties, our much-anticipated winter concert, and a host of other delightful events. We warmly invite parents to join in the fun and create cherished memories with your children as we embrace this joyful season. Let’s make the most of these frosty days ahead—after all, it's the most wonderful time of the year!

Seasonal Clothing Reminder:

As we embrace the joys of winter, we want to ensure that your children can fully enjoy their 25 minutes of recess each day. With this in mind, we kindly remind you to send them to school dressed in appropriate winter attire, including warm jackets, gloves, hats, and scarves. This small effort will not only keep them comfortable but also enhance their experience of fresh air and physical activity

during these chilly months. We appreciate your partnership in promoting your children's health and happiness during winter.

Important Bus Update:

Starting this week, Bus #13 and driver Bruce Stewart will no longer be serving Pennell Elementary. Instead, Bus #4 will take over the same route. The new driver for Bus #4 is Mr. Brian Lomas.

** Please note, the route remains the same, just with a different bus number and driver.

Lunch/Recess Assistant:

We currently have a job posting up for a lunch/recess assistant for Pennell. This position plays a critical part in ensuring student safety and health during lunch and recess, which are essential components of the academic day. By fostering a supportive atmosphere, you will directly contribute to the overall success and development of our students. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners, we invite you to apply through the district website. Every contribution matters!

Lost and Found:

We completely understand how concerning it can be when your child misplaces their belongings, like clothing or a water bottle. If your child has lost anything since the beginning of the year, remind him/her to swing by the lost and found in the cafeteria! If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to help!
