Mrs. Christa Palladino, Principal

January 1, 2024

Pennell Families,

Welcome back to the second half of this school year. I am pumped to get back to working with the Pennell staff and your children. We are dedicated to helping our Penguins become better readers, mathematicians, artists, musicians, problem solvers, and friends. They have accomplished so much already. I know with what we do in these next few months, this will be the best year yet!

The Core Essential Value:

Responsibility is the value for the month of January. Mrs. Watts will be giving lessons to grade levels throughout the month discussing what it means to be a responsible student at Pennell. If you would like to extend the lesson to home, please click here for the parent newsletter and more information.

Important Reminder:

All students go outside for recess every day for an extended period of time. With the weather in the 30s most days, please remember to make sure your child has a warm jacket, hat, and gloves so that they can play with their friends comfortably. If you have been looking for a lost jacket, you may want to have your child check the lost and found in the cafeteria. Conversely, if you need a jacket for your child and are having financial difficulty, please reach out to Mrs. Palladino or Mrs. Watts for assistance.

DISMISSAL REMINDER:

Adults picking up students at the end of the day MUST HAVE THE BLUE PAPER with your family's name on it. Ashley will not be on duty anymore. Adults picking up without the blue paper will need to show ID in the main office to have students released to them. Please pass this information on to whomever you have picking up your child(ren).

Upcoming Dates for your Calendar:

  • 1/3-1/12 Mid-year assessments and benchmarking

  • 1/10 Pennell Pride Day - wear you Pennell shirts
