Pennell Families,

The faculty and staff had a great week welcoming all of our students back. They took no time getting right back into their routines. Thank you to the Pennell PTO for decorating the main lobby display cases. The Penguin pride is palpable in this place!

We will be administering mid-year assessments in grades K-5 to monitor our students' strengths, needs, and progress in the areas of reading and math. Our team will continue to address needs through small group instruction, research-based interventions, and our MTSS process.

Important Reminders:

Please make sure your child has the lanyard with their ID card for breakfast each morning. Last week there were many students without their card.
Please remember to make sure your child has a warm jacket, hat, and gloves to stay warm at outdoor recess.
Please make sure you have your blue paper with your family name on it for student pick-up each afternoon.

The Outdoor Classroom Committee has organized a fundraising night at Freddy's this Wednesday, January 10. Bring the yellow flyer (also online) or mention you’re there for the Pennell Fundraiser. Pablo the Penguin will be making a special appearance as well!

Pretzel Fridays continue in support of the 5th Grade Committee. Remember $1 at lunch!

Yearbooks go on sale Friday, January 12. We will have online sales only again this year, details to come!
