Corrective Action Process Resources
Deadline to provide feedback: July 26, 2023
The Department of Human Services (DHS) recognizes that the corrective action process is a cornerstone of human services licensing. In 2019, the Department released a webinar, Developing a Plan of Correction, to assist providers with the successful development and implementation of acceptable Plans of Correction. Likewise, the Plan of Correction Quick Reference Guide (via PPT or PDF) was issued as a tool to assist providers with this process.
The Department is seeking your feedback on these resources. Please complete this survey by July 26, 2023, to assist DHS in determining what additional steps are needed to ensure providers are sufficiently educated and supported in the Plan of Correction process.
Survey Regarding Insurance: Deadline Extended and Spanish Option Now Available
Deadline to provide feedback extended to August 4, 2023
The Pennsylvania Insurance Department (PID) and the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) have put this survey together to gain an understanding of the insurance market for both foster care and childcare providers. Both Departments have heard about difficulties experienced by providers in finding insurance coverage coupled with the rising cost of insurance for foster care and childcare. PID previously sent out a similar survey, but due to limited response the Department was unable to capture as much information as needed to fully understand the scope of the insurance market. Even if you responded previously, please complete this survey so that both DHS and PID have updated answers.
Your input and the responses from this survey are appreciated and will help both PID and DHS understand availability and affordability within the insurance market and assist in determining what next steps to take. Please note that individual responses will be confidential, and that only deidentified/aggregated data would be shared.
