St. Mark's Episcopal Church

An inclusive fellowship called by God, through Christ, to love and serve the world.

June 5, 2025

June 8 is Pentecost Sunday

When the day of Pentecost had come, the disciples were all together in one place. And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. --Acts 2:1-3

"Healing and Hope" at noon on Wednesdays

Come and experience an uplifting and gentle service with grace, prayer and fellowship. The time (noon) and format of the mid-week service has changed to a "Service of Healing and Hope" that will also include Holy Communion. This new service at noon replaces the 5:30 Wednesday service. All are welcome to receive God's grace! Come and see!

Bishop to hold forum at St. Mark's on Monday

Bishop Ruth Woodliff-Stanley has initiated a study to determine the feasibility of raising funds across the diocese to implement the strategic vision and plan adopted two years ago: “To Build a Beloved Community for All.” She will hold a forum for the southern deanery at St. Mark's on Mon., June 9, at 10 a.m. to discuss the study. Come on out and show that St. Mark's spirit! Everyone is invited to attend.

Revised office hours

Beginning the first week of June, the Parish Office will be open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Be on the "lookout" after the service on Sunday

Did you know that everyone in the parish could serve as what is called a "Lookout" for St. Mark's Stephen Ministry? To find out more, be on the lookout for Glenda Lee Nutting immediately after the service this Sunday, June 8, and June 15 for a 15-20 minute informational meeting about this important new ministry.

Ray Peacock is in the process of compiling the usher/greeter schedule for the remainder of the summer until we return to two services on Sept. 7. If you’re interested in serving, whether experienced or a new volunteer, please contact Ray at raypeacock1@gmail.com.
