SPOTLIGHT FEATURE MINISTRY AT ECA: JOURNEYS GROUP
Journeys began approximately 13 years ago...initial premise was to be a bereavement support group. As time evolved, trust and friendships were formed and as needs continued to change, we decided to broaden support to encompass life's many struggles and challenges.
Our gatherings are informal - sometimes there is an agenda to plant a seed for thought or conversation. Often we share our experiences (though no one is called on to do so) in an effort to support and help each other. We provide a safe and private space where one can be open with feelings and there is no judgment.
We meet the second Saturday of each month at 11:30 am in the Activity Building. Please join us if you have a need in this area, and invite others who may benefit.
MEET THE COORDINATOR: Suzie Hart
I have had the pleasure of facilitating Journeys since it's inception, attended ECA for 32 years and served on the Vestry. I am a mother of 3, grandmother of 5, a Social Worker who owned the first two assisted Living Homes in Fulton County (1983 - sold the business in 2017). Since then I make home/hospital visits for Hospice and do follow up bereavement visits with those families as well as assessments and admissions for drug/alcohol facilities, part time. It is an honor and privilege to lead this group. All who are seeking support for life’s many challenges are welcome! -- Suzie Hart
