Dear Parishioners:
Happy Birthday, Church!!! It’s Pentecost, and the spirit is a-movin’! At both STA and SJB delayed First Communion celebrations are being planned. A graduation ceremony for SJB Eighth Graders in early August is in the process of coming together. Road America is hosting its first public race of the season this weekend, and the brand sparkling-new SJB Concession Stand is [
maybe
] ready for business. And
The Catholic Comeback
goes into full swing at parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Milwaukee this weekend.

The Most Holy Trinity (June 7, 2020) Registration Opens June 2 at Noon
St. John the Baptist is celebrating public Sunday Masses, (including the Saturday Mass of Anticipation). We want you to be comfortable in returning to a safe and stress-free environment, therefore we are requiring advanced registration, with tickets, to attend Mass. Registration opens every Tuesday at noon for the following weekend. Parishioners may register themselves and family members on our
website beginning June 2, or by calling the parish office.
*Weekday Masses are celebrated with fewer than 10 in attendance and no tickets are required. If you wish to attend Mass during the week please contact the parish office at 920-892-4006.
|
|
Those who have a fever or are experiencing flu-like symptoms should not attempt coming to Mass. Moreover, people over the age of 65 and those with compromised auto-immune systems and/or pre-existing health issues that render them more susceptible to infections or respiratory difficulties should consider staying away, as well. The Archbishop has extended his dispensation to all Catholics in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, no matter their age, from the obligation of attending Sunday Mass through Sunday, July 5th.

PRAYER FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT
Holy Spirit, fan into flame the gifts I received in my Baptism and Confirmation. I want to receive the fire of Your love as Your disciples did at Pentecost. Come with wonder and awe,
with wisdom, understanding, and counsel, with courage and faith in You. Holy Spirit, may my actions witness to Your presence in my life.
Help me to see the ways my strengths can serve others in their weakness. In all my interactions, I want to radiate love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Breathe new life into the world through me.
Amen.

Thank you to everyone who has been joining together to pray the Rosary these past Fridays! What a joy it is to pray with the SJB family even though we cannot physically gather during these times! Special thanks to those who have led us in prayer: Sherry and Noah Joseph, Katie Meyer, the Albert family, Lisa Schoneman, Kathy Halloran, Beth Wiese, and Diane Gafney.
Please join us this afternoon, as we join our hearts in prayer for an end to this pandemic! Because of your interest, we will continue the Rosary on Friday's at 4:00 PM this summer. After today's Rosary, there will be a compilation of live Rosaries, new pre-recorded Rosaries, and previously recorded Rosaries every Friday at 4:00 PM throughout the summer.
And stay tuned ... a fun, informal, new monthly fellowship opportunity -- "Rosary, Prayers & More for Mary" (RPM's for short) -- will be starting soon! Get ready to rev up your faith this summer! More details to come.

From the School Principal, Mrs. Amy Nelson
|
|
As the school year winds down, the teachers and I will take time to reflect and do an analysis of the school's virtual learning experiences. A survey will be sent to our families so that they can share their experiences. It will be critical information to consider and aid us in refining practice and in supporting teachers, parents/guardians, and students in future distance learning situations. Even though we do not know how long each of the Catholic Comeback phases will last, we are being proactive and are taking steps in preparing for the possibility of this being part of our new "normal."

Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth.
These words will echo in parishes across the Archdiocese on Pentecost Sunday when we can join together in the celebration of Mass after an 11-week absence. How appropriate!
As we cautiously and carefully emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, the descent of the Holy Spirit is commemorated.
Come Holy Spirit, come! Your parish needs you.
Your
gift of time
is needed to help your parish put into place the proper precautions and accommodations to ensure the safety of all parishioners.
Your
gift of talent
is needed to assist at the parish in new and necessary ministries.
Your
gift of treasure
is needed to fund unexpected expenses.
Your gift of ANY size will help! This link will connect you to your parish website where you can give online as well as find contact information.
|
|
No matter the gift, it is needed and appreciated.
The Catholic community always comes together in times of crisis.
We can do more – and emerge stronger – together.
