Church School Update
God Sends Help
Today we celebrate Pentecost, when the disciples and other Christians received the Holy Spirit Jesus promised them when he went back to heaven. Jesus asked his followers to spread the good news of Jesus and he sent the Holy Spirit to help them.

Watch the video above to hear the story of Pentecost. Use the following questions from Children's Chapel leader Brett Rutledge to guide a discussion of the story:

  • What special celebration was taking place in our story?
  • What did Peter say to do instead of running from God?
  • When the believers were gathered together, what sound did they hear?
  • What did the believers see?
  • Who filled each of the believers on the Day of Pentecost?
  • Why were the people in Jerusalem confused?
  • Why was Saul unable to stop this?
Pentecost Pinwheels
In the Bible we learn that the arrival of the Holy Spirit felt like a warm wind and filled the believer's hearts with love and joy. In the video above, Director of Children's Education Mary Beth Tipton demonstrates how to make a Pentecost Pinwheel. Use this template to make your pinwheel. Send us pictures of your creations!

We miss seeing all of our Church School families and hope all of you are healthy and safe. Please reach out to us with any needs. CSMSG services are available daily via Facebook Live and the Sunday service is posted at csmsg.org by 10 am each Sunday.
