For those of you who are new to Pepin Academies and the Tampa Bay area... a major city tradition, fundraiser and volunteer opportunity is upon us...
The annual Gasparilla Pirate invasion, parade. Join Tampa's original buccaneers as they wind their way down historic Bayshore Boulevard and into downtown Tampa - a midst colorful costumes and festive music.
The Gasparilla Parade of the Pirates will boast over 130 units - including more than 90 elaborate floats, 14 marching bands, over 50 distinct Krewes and, of course, those infamous YMKG pirates!
For several years we have had the good fortune of being selected as one of the charitable recipients of Gasparilla's coveted fundraising "beer gardens"... Along the parade route there are beer gardens where charities sell beverages to parade attendees and keep the net proceeds for their organization.
Not only does this celebration allow us to obtain funds to support our athletic programs, but it's also a chance for the parents, staff, family and friends to come together, get to know one another and have a real good time!
Anyone interested in fulfilling some volunteer hours and experiencing Gasparilla from a beneficial perspective, please sign up to help!
We will need volunteers to check I.D.'s, sell beer, and collect money/make change.
The following shifts are available for your picking...and of course you are welcome to stay the entirety of the event if you wish.
10AM- 2:30PM
1PM - 5:30PM
