Pepper the robot to greet library customers
Fredericksburg, Virginia, October 24, 2019 - Pepper is a humanoid robot which will be joining Central Rappahannock Regional Library (CRRL) to meet and interact with customers and continue the library's initiatives making technology accessible and fun. Pepper was manufactured by SoftBank Robotics and is the world’s first social humanoid robot able to recognize faces and basic human emotions. Pepper has been optimized for human interaction and is able to engage with people through conversation and its touch screen.

Pepper will be debuting at CRRL branches in November during MakerLab sessions:
Pepper will live at IdeaSpace, CRRL’s new space for making and media, coming this winter.
